Usual fabulous service from Wonderland. This is an 80's kit and it shows in the lack of detail in the mouldings. The small picture is a bit misleading as whoever put that together spent a lot of time doing detail painting to make up for the lack of detail in the kit. If you must have an FR1 this is the only kit it would appear

A great kit from Tamiya, great detail,and no flash.Raised panel lines and resesed also.Easy to follow instructions, great box art.Decals went down well with no silvering.Ejector seat and pilot has great detail well tooled.Would be good to see this kit in a 1/32 scale.Clear parts absolutely spot on a great fit for the whole kit only filler used on nose area.

Overall a great model for beginner/intermediate. The moulds are very clean and detailed and the decals are high quality. The only negatives are that sometimes the fit is a bit loose and you have to mix some colours yourself. Probably not the right model for advanced modellers, but for beginners/intermediates its great.

Bought this when going on holiday in case of a rainy day.Rainy days aplenty but this was a great little kit to pass the time.Parts are well fitting and glue, paint and paintbrushes supplies. The only additional purchase I needed was a craft knife to remove parts from the sprue.Highly recommend.
Bought for a future project. Kit looks really good. Tamiya always a good make.
This is an older Rebox kit by Tamiya in 1/48 scale it has raised panel lines on fuselage and outer surfaces of wings, the bombs, wheels other parts have a bit of flash and burring on most parts. Will require a lot of time with hobby knife and sanding tools scrapping mould lines and flash. Would be better suited to an experienced modeller who would like to sand out raised panel lines and rescribe whole kit to add detail which it actually deserves to such an Iconic Aircraft.
Admittedly you can tell that this is an older kit and not up to recent excellent tamiya standards. However a reasonably skilled modeller can still make a good job of this kit. It comes with extensive decals set so in the end it's quite a nice looking model.
I haven't started it yet but as older kit it seems like it will be a nice build. It has raise fine details so it's and older TAMIYA kit
The model kits from tamiya are all supplied with an easy to follow instruction booklet. A very detailed and good finish. With a selection of different types of decals
A great model Harrier, even though it is an old mould. One thing to note of point is that this kit is listed as a 1/72 scale model. In actual fact it is a 1/48 scale model...so quite larger than you might have thought you were getting!Overall, a great kit and one that should bring hours of enjoyment from building...and even more hours from just staring at the beauty!
