Applicator doesn't work

I bought both the regular and super version of this product and discovered just now (10pm) that I have my period 8 days early (perimenopause). So tried these tampons for the very first time and the applicator does not pull out far enough to insert the tampon.....it's a disgrace and has thrown me into a total panic. Who on earth designed these? They clearly haven't been tested.....an absolute joke and most importantly a waste of money. Won't be purchasing these ever again.....just have been designed by a man because they don't work. Very disappointing.

Do not buy!!!

DO NOT BUY. This product is TERRIBLE. I have used tampons my whole life. On this, there is no rim to grip on to so it makes application life VERY difficult. I have wasted 3 tampons which have had to be binned due to them removing the grip at the end and so, it doesn’t go in correctly or even half way. I will not be buying this product again I’m so disappointed. What a waste of money.

Great design, easy to use on the go.

These are my favourite types of tampons for various reasons. They are easy to carry, have a hygienic design and are comfortable to wear which is really important to me. I would definitely recommended as they also have different types depending on your flow. For me, I tend to use the regular ones and they work a treat - i have a heavy flow but like the regular ones.

HATE NEW CLICK APPLICATOR
20 August 2021

Have been using tampax all my life, i'm 53 !! and yes, unfortunately still having periods, so i can say i know what i'm doing when it comes to using these things. Having used the old cardboard applicators and then here and there the pearl, i've just purchased the new pearl with the 'click' applicator. It doesn't doesn't click and the tampon fails to come out half the time, meaning i've wasted half the bloody box !! These things aren't cheap, so I'll be sticking to the old type from now on, if I can get them, aswell as the orginal pearl. Tampax, get this sorted if your gonna continue selling this 'click' applicator

Leaks after very short time - don’t use
23 June 2020

I purchased yesterday after having a period even though I have a nexplanon implant (for pain purposes), so this is the first bleed I’ve had since being a teenager (about serval years). So I felt thrown into the deep-end with trying to find products that worked (since I lost all experience), but I pick up this pack as it was only £3.99 (and after testing a tesco own brand tampon that I got substituted in a delivery - don’t use them, they are always uncomfortable) so I thought I can’t possibly go wrong especially as it’s produced by a big well known brand. You can definitely “go wrong” with these tampons! I had no problems with the applicator or actually using the tampon. You can definitely “go wrong” with these tampons! I had no problems with the applicator or actually using the tampon. And I’m not a super heavy bleeder, but about 2-3 hours later, I noticed that the tampon didn’t catch all the bleed and had to opt for a sanitary towel. And it’s not because I’m personally too heavy monthly for this particular tampon, but it will only absorb towards the bottom of the tampon rather than the top. I think this is because of a design flaw, instead of the tampon expanding completely (I.e little cylindrical shape into a bigger cylindrical shape - expanding all over), it only expands sideways (so from a little cylindrical shape into a flat rectangular shape) therefore not contouring properly. This is a long review, but I wish I read these reviews before heading out into store. £3.99 on offer price is a relatively cheap price but it’s still not worth the money. And tampax, do you really need to use soo much plastic, I was surprised to see that every part (3 parts to the applicator) of the applicator is made from plastic and quite thick plastic at that. Bottom line - there is no point using these tampons, I’m glad I tried this inside my home before I decided to commit to going out!

No, no and no more
14 July 2021

I have always used tampons, most often I choose the ones with an applicator because I believe that they are more hygienic and more comfortable to put on. And it just so happens that Tampax dominates among tampons with applicators on the English market, and they work great. By the time. Recently I couldn't find my favorite tampax compac product (the ones with yellow applicators), they were only pearl. More expensive than the standard, well I took it. From the beginning, their use was difficult, the applicator inconvenient, the tampon often lands in the wrong place. And finally, it is more difficult to pull it out, it actually hurts. Wearing it was ok, I didn't notice the difference here. Restore previous versions! Not environmentally friendly
23 November 2022

The product is great. I like how it is more compact that other products. My biggest concern is that I hadn't realised the applicator was plastic. I've only ever used cardboard applicators previously. I don't think I'll be purchasing this again just from an environmentally friendly point of view.

Perfect!
29 June 2021

I love these. Every since I’ve started using tampons I’ve always used tampax Pearl, either the standard or compak. I must admit, I was sceptical towards the compak ones due to their size, but they’re so much comfier, in my experience they can easily give you a good 8 hours of no leakage- you can’t really ask for more! I think as far as tampons go, they’re super comfy and last ages. The applicators are nice too, pull out and click in place and it’s ready to go. The compak ones are nice as they’re small too, so they’re easy to pop in a pocket or hide in a bag for discretion. They’re so little no one would notice! I won’t use any other brand- I’ve travelled to another supermarket just to get my tampax Pearl before!

The only tampons I ever use
12 March 2023

These are literally the only tampons I ever buy and use. The applicator is compact which means they take up less space and it’s very smooth making it super easy to insert. They’re far better than the cardboard applicators (which I find very difficult and awkward to use). The pull and click mechanism is very clever and easy. I’ll never use another brand of Tampon again. Hands down these are the best on the market.

What has happened????
12 August 2022

These have become awful! What has happened? The applicator doesnt always work and when removing brings the tampon with it. It now somehow manages to pinch the skin on insertion. Ive experienced terrible leaks too! Worst of all they suddenly feel uncomfortable the whole time when previously I never even noticed I was using one.
