Tarte Cosmetics Maracuja Juicy Lip Crème - Peppermint

This is a nice formula; nothing revolutionary but nice nevertheless. The Cremes have a soft matte finish and the lipstick itself is comfortable without being notably drying. There's a decent range of light and dark pink shades as well as a couple of nudes so most people will probably be able to find at least one color that suits them. The packaging itself is also nice with its slender, slightly weighted metal tube and because the bullet itself is smaller than a "traditional" lipstick, it's easy to get a more precise application. Tarte has several products in the maracuja juicy line, so make sure you look carefully when trying to buy a product. This is the lip creme which is advertised as being a treatment, balm, and lipstick in one. This retails for $24 and there are several colors in the line. This has a twist up packaging that goes on smoothly and without any tugging. Very creamy, lightweight formula that is very comfortable. This is a hydrating product that smooths out my subtle lip lines when worn. This is advertised as being transfer proof which was not my experience. It does have some transfer. This doesn’t last as long as they say either, it wore off on me after about 3 hours

This Maracuja juicy lip is the shade sunshine, a beautiful clear balm with glittery gold. Though it looks yellow, it’s just really reflective gold glitter When applying, it’s super soft and creamy. It’s just a little thick in consistency, but it’s not drying or excessively greasy in any way. Looks very nice on its own or on top of another product. It has a nice, buildable tint to it. If you want just a sheer glow on it’s own or on top of an already applied color, one swipe will work good! Or you can add another layer or two for a more glossy, high shine look! I love the maracuja lip products. I have them all in various shades. The plump, the balm, the shift, all are super good!

I really wanted to love this product, I really did! The package is minimal yet chic pleasing to the eye! You click it, like a pen, no more mess the color Rose, is SOOO beautiful!!! The formula itself, to me, is kind of weird not my favorite texture! It's moisturizing, at first, but it does NOT last at all! Maybe 15 minutes tops! The formula is thick sticky! It IS moisturizing! I just wish it was a bit thinner in consistency a little less sticky! The Rose shade is VERY natural! It's not really pigmented at all! My lips don't look any plumper, but the overall look of it on my lips, is really pretty! The shine is absolutely gorgeous! I bought this product with my own money. It is hands down my favourite lipstick formula EVER! I have perpetually dry lips that get crusty with most lipsticks throughout the day. This is so lightweight and creamy, and I can reapply throughout the day without any dry flakes :)I’m wearing Mulberry in the pic, and I think it’s a beautiful every day shade on my light-medium skin tone. I also have this in Cranberry which is a brighter bolder shade.Love love love. I’m hoping they come out with more shades!

JUST OKAY!!!

I got this shade another shade from a TV channel. These are good depending what color you get. I got the mauve and peachy pink shades. I have fair skin with neutral-cool undertones so the mauve was so so on me. I wish it had more of a rosy color. It was more on the pinkish-brownish side (muddy looking) . The peachy pink was definitely not my color. It has a lot of orange tones in it so it would look better on someone with warm skin tones. They are pretty moisturizing which is good. If I get these again, I would make sure they were more of a rosy-pink color.

I have NEVER been a fan of ANY KIND of lipstick (liquid, matte, traditional tube cream, etc) nor have I ever found the PERFECT shade for myself that goes with all different shades of my pale/tan throughout the year. But this lip crème in soft rose is literally my holy grail now. It goes on effortlessly without a liner, it is creamy with a hint of shine but not too much to make it glossy, and opaque enough to show the gorgeous pinky nude shade. It isn't kiss proof and isn't long wearing but I don't even care about that because it is so easy to reapply and doesn't dry my lips out. A serious must have and WILL repurchase. In multiple shades. (Would love a travel size too Tarte lol)

Save your money AND your lips

I was so excited to try these since they were on sale! I tried a few colors on my hand and loved how creamy they were. I got mauve, while not my first choice, I *thought* it would be nice. This was more peachy nude than any mauve I've seen. I gave it a few times while I waited for cranberry to come in. Two COMPLETELY different formulas. This one was more sheer and transferred onto the white of my shirt! To top it all off, I noticed my lips had been cracking and this was the only thing that had changed. Needless to say, they both were returned for my money back.
