Buy yourself a Spaddy Daddy to scoop up the expensive leftovers.- It doesn't last as long as on your lips or in the tube as the original formula Glossier DotBalm. I found myself both applying more frequently (though not as frequently as Summer Fridays, for example) AND running out of the product within 1 month, while using other products at the same time. That's a quick turn around for $25.- applicator seems to use a lot of plastic - it's a chunky device that seems largely unnecessary for a soft lip product. In closing - I'd recommend this product IF it were on sale. Maracuja juicy lip is ur typical balm with a smooth formula and nice pigment. Glides on so well and hydrates perfectly however doesn’t give you much plump. It’s great for a little extra umph and a pretty shade however will not give you the filler effect. Another thing is that the packaging of the product is a little unnecessary as once the clicker reaches a certain point it won’t come up anymore although there is still product. Nonetheless beautiful product and great formula just a few tweakes. I don’t think k it’s worth the money as it is a boatman lip balm however i the aesthetic and formula is nice.

Have already repurchased!
22 March 2024

I really enjoy this product. I have the shade Rosey Mauve - compared to other colors in the shimmer line, it is more similar to Soft Pink, Sunflower, etc. in that is more sheer than Rosey Copper, Ruby, and some of the deeper shades. I prefer the colors with a less obvious pigment - the more pigmented shades read as frosty to me and the more sheer shades seem more glossy/shimmery/glittery. This feels really nice on the lips; it has a somewhat cooling sensation and it does feel like it plumps a little bit without feeling hot or uncomfortable. It also feels really nourishing and moisturizing. I removed one start for 2 reasons - I feel like you don't get very much product for the money. Also, once you get to the end of the product, at some point you're unable to click anymore product up out of the tube when you can clearly see that there is a good amount of product left at the bottom of the tube. This is probably standard for any lipstick type product, but it's especially frustrating because you can see the extra product. All that being said, I've still repurchased this product and would definitely recommend!

It’s very pretty and tingly but doesn’t burn
24 November 2023

(Shade Pearl) I think this feels really nice on the lips. It doesn’t burn at all. Just a light tingle. I’m a huge fan of the original maracuja lip balm because it was soooo silky and lasted a long time. This doesn’t feel quite as emollient and juicy as the original. Also I feel like you don’t get a lot of product in the tube but I tend to not need a lot. I do love that one click gives me the perfect amount. I feel this does make my lips look healthy and full when I wear it. The Pearl shade is really pretty as a lipstick topper to give it some pizazz. I can’t say much about the color payoff as I have only tried the Pearl. This shade has some sparkle to it and that’s what I really love.

Must have lip
6 April 2024

I am very impressed with this and it is a holy grail lip product now. Tarte really nailed the formula on the plump version and the original is beautiful too. These are super glossy without feeling sticky. They feel very moisturizing on the lips. Gives a natural looking colour and smooths out the lips. I’m not a huge fan of mint but I actually like the subtle mint scent and they have a cooling effect that feels very fresh. I feel like they do add a plump look. I have the shades primrose and mixed berries, and rose in the original formula. All great shades. I highly recommend this for an easy, throw on lip that feels comfortable and looks beautiful.

No Pigment, Feels Awful
10 April 2024

I purchased the shade rosy mauve, and I'm completely disappointed. The product looks nothing like the pictures and actually has almost no pigment. It looks more like a sheer, colorless gloss in real life. Even swatching it on the back of my hand, you can only see the faintness hint of pink. It is sparkly, but nothing exceptional. Much less glossy and sparkly than the pictures-you could get the same look from a drugstore gloss for a quarter of the price. What's worse is that this also feels awful. The plumping affect causes an icy-hot sensation that doesn't seem to dissipate even after hours. Definitely would be worried about kissing, sharing drinks, etc. while wearing this. It does make my lips look plumper, but I wasnt buying it for that reason and don't really ... MoreI purchased the shade rosy mauve, and I'm completely disappointed. One of my favorite lip products-SHOCKINGLY
19 April 2024

I never thought in a million years I’d love this product so much, so shout out to getting samples or else I’d never buy this! I want to preface this by saying I don’t like plumping products due to their stingy nature (having my lips feel burnt and swollen is not ideal imo), and lip glosses or even balms just to me seem so pointless, and I never like the texture. So why do I like this?? First of all, this does not sting. It has a really RESFRESHING cooling sensation. With that said, I notice little to no plumping. Maybe my lips look a tad fuller? But they definitely don’t look stung by a bee. That doesn’t bother me. The cooling sensation actually lasts awhile too, and again, I find it resfreshing and I’m hypersensitive. This glides on really nicely, it isn’t ‘slippery’ to where it is simply going to slide off, and it absolutely is not tacky. And to my absolute surprise, it lasts deeeecently well. I was trying to convince myself to like a lip oil, and that lasts all of 10 minutes and I just don’t see the hype. Anyways, I bought the full size tarte plump in ‘tulip’ and it is super pigmented! It does NOT slide into my fine lines or smear. It will wear off, but it fades gradually and doesn’t cling to any weird dry spots either. If you want to put something on your lips without the full commitment of a lipstick, but can’t jump on the lip oil/lipgloss bandwagon, I totally would say to give this a try!

Save your money - Nyx is better (and cheaper)
25 July 2024

I originally tried this as a mini in the shade Cherry Blossom from one of the holiday sets Sephora sold last year. The shade was okay but nothing special and seemed to melt when applied. I got this one in the latest lip kit from Sephora and I was really excited to try out the shimmer glass shade and the Rosy Mauve looked like it would apply as a darker color. It doesn’t. At all. The color barely shows up when applied but you do get the shimmer. Paired with a brown or darker shaded lip liner, if you fill in your lips (or just use a lip stick), it works well as a topper to provide that shimmer. I also could not tell that this was plumping AT ALL. It does have a really weird mint taste if it gets in your mouth (inevitable if you eat or drink anything) but definitely ... MoreI originally tried this as a mini in the shade Cherry Blossom from one of the holiday sets Sephora sold last year. This one doesn’t melt nearly as much as the first shade I tried. The Nyx Slick Click pens are so much better imo. The shade No Filter Needed from Nyx is comparable to this one and probably shows up a lot better. I have the Nyx pen in shade In a Mood which looks similar from the photos to the Tarte shade Currant and for $9 I’m picking Nyx. The application and product are so much better than Tarte on every level. Unless you want the name associated with this, save your money.

I'd say it's a dream, comfy formula if you like high shine. Some chapstick junkies might love this as a thin, nourishing swipe.MOISTURIZING: Yup! feels like I could wear this in sub-zero temperatures and know that my lips are protected.TASTE: I wish more reviewers and Youtubers would discuss TASTE. This one does not have a strong taste. When layered thick it might have the tiniest bit of a clean ingredients taste with slight taste of the coconut, but so minimal.SCENT: very strong coconut scent. I'm shocked they went with a coconut scent since many people I know hate coconut. With a thin layer I don't mind it (i love coconut) but it's not ideal to smell this while I'm drinking or eating. With a thick layer the scent is so overpowering that I'm considering returning this. I get migraines from harsh scents like this.COLOUR: This might as well be clear. Maybe the baby pink colour shows up over a lip stain or filled-in liner. Or maybe on a darker skin tone. It kind of lightened my naturally berry-coloured lips to be more pink, but only with an uncomfortably thick layer.VALUE: If you don't mind the scent and lack of pigment in lighter tones, this is an amazing product. It's not messy if you keep it low in the tube
