As a pro makeup artist, one that's tried hundreds of brands, highend and drugstore,tarte is one of the best packaging wise, has a great giant doe foot applicator that fits well underneath the eye area AND all over the face. Urban decay makes a great concealer as well. However, I always go back to tarte shapetape and makeup revolution because of the full coverage and my dry skin. I didn't even really like the elf creamy camo concealer people rave about; too drying to me and heavy on the face.Only other ones that are liquid that are good on dry are nars radiant concealer that's more illuminating, or if you want skincare in a concealer then it cosmetics bye bye under eye illuminating, however it's more of a thicker consistency. When they came out with the tarte shapetape creamy concealer, it honestly is just my perfect concealer. the sponge that comes with it is a tiny little purple beauty blender sponge that does help with application under the eye area getting up closer underneath the eye, in the corners and ontop of the lid, I did like the tiny sponge idea. The purple little tarte sponge alone seems a bit expensive for me personally. However, in this kit,it's great, and I enjoyed having it. Highly recommend tarte shapetape and this sponge kit to try or to gift, it's a must have makeup product for me out of so many other options. Love it! Great for all out full glam or for day to day wear or the makeup minimalist. It is effective, and works better than 99 percent of concealers out. Worth the hype, definitely worth the price if you're questioning it,try out a small kit like this with the sponge!

I would recommend using this concealer sparingly as a little goes a long way you don’t want to look like it’s caked on. I also would put only a very light dusting setting powder over it, or none at all just use setting spray. I would definitely recommend this concealer for any ages, but would try to see it on you in person to make sure you get the perfect shade as there are so many to choose from. I will purchase this concealer again, but it’ll probably be a while because it only takes so little the tube is huge, so great investment for the price point. These concealers are the first Tarte products I’ve ever tried, I’m impressed will most likely try one of the Tarte eyeshadow palettes next.

This is a frustrating review to write because the actual product itself is fantastic. I was having issues with dry, crepey skin under my eyes and this, and Ilia true skin serum concealer were the only ones that didn't settle into the fine lines. But after sometime, I couldn't keep up with with constantly paying so much money for a new bottle..After the pandemic, I tried looking for dupes like the elf concealer for example, and everything about it was just terrible. I use the shape tape concealer to cut a crease and clean up small areas like winged liner/shadow and flaws around my lips when wearing bold lipstick bc thats easier than trying to rub it off and having smear all over my face.I find this concealer to be the best for cutting creases and creating negative space with eye looks. I'm 44 with dry skin so I stopped wearing complexion products years ago. I do a lot of bold and smoky eye looks and always use glitter or shimmery shades (I highly recommend trying some liquid shadows if you look bold and blingy looks without having glitter all over your face) that tend to land under my eyes during application, brushes will always fling the glitter everywhere. I'll use A wipe to clean it up around my eyes but if I don't have any handy I'll just tap a tiny dot of this to cover the mess. when not using this, I'll tap a light eye shadow or cream shadow/highlight shade with my finger. if you've learned contouring watching yt or ig tutorials where they pour concealer all over around the eyes-- keep in mind it may be necessary for photoshoots, theatrical performers, people under set lighting in front of cameras, but not necessary for the average person. it's wayyy too much product and will cake up, crease, and accentuate dry skin and fine lines like a magnifying glass. then putting powder or baking will make it worse no matter which brand you use. matte complexion products shouldn't be used on dry skin or mature skin. tinted moisturizers, creams, and Dewey products work better.if you're having problems with creasing, caking, and dryness with this concealer- you're probably using too much product. try putting a small dollup on the back of your hand and use a finger to tap it on pressing it in or using a smaller brush besides the applicator.you can also add a little of a moisurizer mixed on your hand then applied to keep it from drying out your skin.

I am very fair, but thereare definitely people who are even more fair so if you are VERY VERY fair, I don't this could work on you considering how much it oxidizes, even more so than any drugstore concealers I've tried. I think if you are oily or oily-combination like me and you can find your shade, this is a good concealer. but for dry skin/if you are very very fair, this wouldn't work. I give it about a 7/10 based on solely the product performance, as it is long lasting and matte which I like, and also smells really good, but can be a little drying. It's unfortunate how much it oxidizes.
