It gives a cool, tingly feeling right after you apply it but isn’t uncomfortable to wear. The formula is really smooth and glides on the lips easily. It does a good job of hydrating my lips, making them feel soft wit the perfect splash of color. As far as the plumping goes right after applying you can see a slight plump look, nothing extravagant but with leaving my lips so moisturized it does look good on. I love the formula, it’s glossy without being sticky or gummy. Gives your lips a perfect flush of color, keeping them looking healthy and natural. The only downside is that isn’t not overly long lasting. After a couple hours it does start to fade and I find I have to reapply. This lip product is also a click button application, which I kims of like to give me what product to use then and there. I don’t mind reapplying it every few hours because I do like that initial tingly feeling, plus I love the feel of putting this on, fresh color and gloss always gives me a little pick me up. The color range is good, I’ve actually bought 3 more of these I like them so well. Keeps your lips nourished and hydrated while giving your pout a glossy flush of healthy, natural colors. I definitely recommend this product, all my friends have purchased one. Great product from a great brand, affordable, and look amazing on.

You lose a significant amount of expensive product by the time you get to the bottom. Buy yourself a Spaddy Daddy to scoop up the expensive leftovers.- It doesn't last as long as on your lips or in the tube as the original formula Glossier DotBalm. I found myself both applying more frequently (though not as frequently as Summer Fridays, for example) AND running out of the product within 1 month, while using other products at the same time. That's a quick turn around for $25.- applicator seems to use a lot of plastic - it's a chunky device that seems largely unnecessary for a soft lip product. In closing - I'd recommend this product IF it were on sale. They need to change the applicator so you can get the product at the end, or reduce the price so you don't feel like you're wasting so much.

I have medium fare skin tone and always have difficulty finding colors that work for me. These look excellent, have staying power and feel and look so good. I highly recommend. I read only a few reviews and some mentioned these lean toward brown tones. I'm truly sorry this doesn't work for them. I see absolutely no brown tones in these shades at all on me. Aside, I typically hate plumping lip treatments, but the four plumbers in this kit simply feel a bit cool, and do not irritate my lips at all. (Most plumping products actually make my lips peel - not these.)

Love the Juicy Lip Plump best..

This was a TSV that I couldn’t miss taking advantage of. I find I especially prefer the Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump (which doesn’t really do any actual “plumping”), but it just feels so good and the tingly eucalyptus (?) feel of it has moisturized, softened and healed my dry lips. I’m really loving the colors. The Plumper doesn’t feather or bleed and what’s really nice??
you know all those long lasting Ink Stains offered on the market now?.. (Maybe it’s the pencil feathering?) The Maracuja Juicy lip pencil that comes with this box set, glides on smoothly without tugging but I’m not crazy about the pencil color. But all the plump and lipstick colors are so pretty. I’ll use some more than others, but
great selection.

For one thing, this stuff is not hydrating in the least. The product just kinda sits on top of dry skin and draws attention to it. Even a light coat feels thick and dries all sticky, which is not ideal.Secondly, this gloss is very unnaturally pigmented. I was hoping for a simple tint of color, which this is not. In my opinion, the pigmentation is more reminiscent of a liquid lipstick than anything else. I never thought in a million years I’d love this product so much, so shout out to getting samples or else I’d never buy this! I want to preface this by saying I don’t like plumping products due to their stingy nature (having my lips feel burnt and swollen is not ideal imo), and lip glosses or even balms just to me seem so pointless, and I never like the texture. So why do I like this?? First of all, this does not sting. It has a really RESFRESHING cooling sensation. With that said, I notice little to no plumping. Maybe my lips look a tad fuller? But they definitely don’t look stung by a bee. That doesn’t bother me. The cooling sensation actually lasts awhile too, and again, I find it resfreshing and I’m hypersensitive. This glides on really nicely, it isn’t ‘slippery’ to where it is simply going to slide off, and it absolutely is not tacky. And to my absolute surprise, it lasts deeeecently well. I was trying to convince myself to like a lip oil, and that lasts all of 10 minutes and I just don’t see the hype. Anyways, I bought the full size tarte plump in ‘tulip’ and it is super pigmented! It does NOT slide into my fine lines or smear. It will wear off, but it fades gradually and doesn’t cling to any weird dry spots either. If you want to put something on your lips without the full commitment of a lipstick, but can’t jump on the lip oil/lipgloss bandwagon, I totally would say to give this a try!

Save your money - Nyx is better (and cheaper)
25 July 2024

I originally tried this as a mini in the shade Cherry Blossom from one of the holiday sets Sephora sold last year. The shade was okay but nothing special and seemed to melt when applied. I got this one in the latest lip kit from Sephora and I was really excited to try out the shimmer glass shade and the Rosy Mauve looked like it would apply as a darker color. It doesn’t. At all. The color barely shows up when applied but you do get the shimmer. Paired with a brown or darker shaded lip liner, if you fill in your lips (or just use a lip stick), it works well as a topper to provide that shimmer. I also could not tell that this was plumping AT ALL. It does have a really weird mint taste if it gets in your mouth (inevitable if you eat or drink anything) but definitely ... MoreI originally tried this as a mini in the shade Cherry Blossom from one of the holiday sets Sephora sold last year. This one doesn’t melt nearly as much as the first shade I tried. The Nyx Slick Click pens are so much better imo. The shade No Filter Needed from Nyx is comparable to this one and probably shows up a lot better. I have the Nyx pen in shade In a Mood which looks similar from the photos to the Tarte shade Currant and for $9 I’m picking Nyx. The application and product are so much better than Tarte on every level. Unless you want the name associated with this, save your money.

So it's kind of like a gentle menthol feeling but not too distracting and no minty vibe. I don't notice my lips plumping but because it's thick and fills in lines, I think visually it gives a fuller look. I'd say it's a dream, comfy formula if you like high shine. Some chapstick junkies might love this as a thin, nourishing swipe.MOISTURIZING: Yup! feels like I could wear this in sub-zero temperatures and know that my lips are protected.TASTE: I wish more reviewers and Youtubers would discuss TASTE. This one does not have a strong taste. When layered thick it might have the tiniest bit of a clean ingredients taste with slight taste of the coconut, but so minimal.SCENT: very strong coconut scent. I'm shocked they went with a coconut scent since many people I know hate coconut. With a thin layer I don't mind it (i love coconut) but it's not ideal to smell this while I'm drinking or eating. With a thick layer the scent is so overpowering that I'm considering returning this. I get migraines from harsh scents like this.COLOUR: This might as well be clear. Maybe the baby pink colour shows up over a lip stain or filled-in liner. Or maybe on a darker skin tone. It kind of lightened my naturally berry-coloured lips to be more pink, but only with an uncomfortably thick layer.VALUE: If you don't mind the scent and lack of pigment in lighter tones, this is an amazing product. It's not messy if you keep it low in the tube

Very Sheer, Bad Taste
4 April 2023

I love so many Tarte products, but not this one. I chose the shade Honeysuckle after seeing it on a YouTuber and it looked like a deep color that showed up well. It looks totally different on me, even though that person has a similar skin tone. It's super sheer, hardly any pigment. I have very pale skin, my shade matches are the KVD foundations in 002 and EL DW in Alabaster for reference, so color shows up easily on me, but not this time. I don't like wearing light or sheer colors, I need deeper or brighter shades to give some life to my face, without a pop of color I can look sickly.I don't lick my lips but I can taste this because it's such a melty formula, it gets in the mouth. If I apply more to try to build a little color, it just turns into a gloopy, melty mess without giving much more pigment. Only a thin layer can be used or else it moves around too easily and migrates and smears outside the lip line. It has a very cooling, icy, minty feel that's really strong, but it doesn't hurt. The taste is really unpleasant, it's not a sweet mint, it's just a bad chemical taste. It feels moisturizing and it's not a thin formula, but it's not the most cushiony and thick. When the lips are well hydrated and moisturized they do look bigger just because of that, so this does give my dry lips a plumper, moisturized look.I noticed it was mostly gone after an hour of wear time without me eating or drinking anything.I have the Nyx fat oil in Status Update and it gives more pigment than this product without any taste or feel.

Why reinvent the wheel?
19 December 2023

I stressed soooo much because over and over the colors are sold as neutrals or nudes and end up being corals or reds (yuck!). So I watched and watched, and finally ordered. I agreed w what SK, who “stretches” the truth without any pause, said; even if I toss half the price is good. Upon trying the colors, I was surprised the colors worked as great toppers, based
nothing really offended me as a serious “bright”. They are sticky, lie #1. And just because something is gooey doesn’t mean it’s hydrating. But, as far as vanity, good buy. What I don’t freakin understand, and remember when I said I watched, and watched? Well, I don’t recall them bragging about their new “clicker” bottoms? Which I would vote THEY GET RID OF AND FALLS UNDER: DONT REINVENT THE FREAKIN WHEEL! ... MoreI stressed soooo much because over and over the colors are sold as neutrals or nudes and end up being corals or reds (yuck!). you’re getting the idea. For each pen.Mine arrived, it’s December temps finally (fianally!!) dropped, with temps below 40F. First the lip liner, after 24hrs broke. There is NOT much liner product, 1/2 of mine gone. I don’t care if they are Goji berries, or Amazon bird droppings. The lip liner is as waxy as any cheap liner, frozen even after 24 hrs it was hard, rock hard. Where it split was below the surface. It tipped back, snapped and flew right out of the pen? I threw it away, no use for a rock hard lip liner, and it was a color far too dark. As we age our lips darken. Youthful lips are lighter, pink! This is a dark clay color, why?Every “pen” has to be primed/clicked just to get product up 1/16” to try it. The product gets all over the white sheath around the product, have Kleenex avail to clean it off, and tip it back into the cap, or you’ll loose actual product (scrape it) into the cap, because their lousy new design doesn’t allow us to lower the tiny bit of product we expose with all that click, click, click, click. Seriously? What is the issue with trusting us as grown up women to TURN THE BOTTOM raise the amount of gloss we want to use, and wait for it; then twist it again in the opposite direction lowering the product so we don’t waste one bit of product mashing it into the cap?Does snyone recall them doing backflips on air bragging about the rediculous efforts we'd have to go thru, because if they were proud of it, you lnow they would have made it sound like SK found the cure for cancer. am I right, please! Very positively surprisef by colors, knew theyd be icky sticky. The clivk, click, click, click, swear QVC and SK always find a way too (insert a type of tool here) viewers? must be boredom. Why on earth couldnt these be a twist product? 5 stars then?Knowing the click, click business I would recommend
