Decent magnification. Description says it can be used with a tripod, which is why I bought it. If there was a way to use with a tripod I'd rate it higher.

These binoculars are great!!! I use them when ever I am out on my property.
I bought these 16x50's to use mainly for stargazing, but, they are great for daytime use as well! Testing these out in daylight, closest focus range is about 40 feet. The optics are very well collimated, and, provide a nice view across the field of view. There is no distortion from pinched optics visible, and, no false color at the sharp edges of light and dark objects. They feel solid in weight, but, not so heavy, that they are uncomfortable to use. The included bag is minimal, and has a shoulder strap. The binocular neck strap is comfortable, at about an inch wide, better than the narrow vinyl strap typically included in this price range. Holding them steady viewing nearby objects can be difficult, but, bracing against a tree, or wall, helps.
