I had gotten a free sample of this brand and food, and my dog ate it without issue. So when the local pet food store decided to stop carrying his usual brand, Nature's Variety, I chose to buy this as a replacement. Again, my Labrador ate this readily. But, he is a Labrador, and will eat almost anything, fortunately or not. The 3 stars are not necessarily a reflection on the quality of the food, but moreso because of the side effect it produces in my dog. His bowel movements have become softer with this food. And quite honestly, it is just messier to pick up. So, after this bag is finished, I am going back to Nature's Variety.

I’ve tried many different brands of dog food for my 4 Pitbulls who have sensitive stomachs and skin (Natural Balance Duck, Blue Buffalo basics Turkey, Royal Canin, Merrick, 4health)/ and this wetlands recipe has been the perfect balance that keeps their skin free of rashes, their digestive systems operating as they should, and their appetites craving more. The blend of quail, turkey and duck provides a nice variety of primary proteins that satisfy, while only a limited amount of chicken is used in this wetlands recipe. Lastly, as many other brands opt to increase their prices while decreasing the weight of their large bags, Taste of the wild has continued to stay at 28lbs and a reasonable price point.

A couple weeks went by and we noticed less itching and he kept being interested in the food. A couple months have gone by, his itching has subsided and he loves his food! We couldn’t be happier. We have been feeding taste of the wild to our dogs for 5 years. It's is healthy and provides everyday nutrition without worrying about skin issues. As a dog trainer, I see a lot of dogs with food issues and recommend taste of the wild. As a Boxer breeder, it gives my dogs beautiful coats. Our Boxers compete in confirmation and obedience. Taste of the wild gives them that proper nutrition for brain, bone and muscle development. They love it.
This is high quality food and I love that it has probiotics in it! I have a collie and they can be very sensitive dogs. We tried other dog foods and my poor dog was battling tummy troubles. We tried giving him separate probiotics and it would help, but we finally decided to get this food. We’ve accidentally bought the whole grain version, but try to stick to the grain free. (The whole grain seems to make my dog gain weight too easily). Either type was excellent food and he has not had any tummy troubles on it. His coat looks great and he hasn’t had any other issues, either. Love this food for him!
After having our dog tested for many food and environmental allergies, we found she is sensitive to almost everything. This made her have very soft stools which seemed hopeless. But we kept searching for a grain-free kibble (since she’s sensitive to all of the main grains found in dog food) and found this blend which only has 1 ingredient on her sensitivity list.She is almost done with the first bag and her poops are already improving. So happy to have found this!
Our vet suggested TOTW (puppy) 2 yrs back as Rex was not gaining weight after he recovered from tick fever We could see the change in his fur, his energy level, his activeness & his stool. Rex’s immunity level was also increased. We recommended TOTW to other pet parents because we didn’t blindly believed the vet we compared TOTW with other dog brands, did our research over the product checked the quality, benefits, protein rich ingredient required for a Germanshepherd breed. I could see agility in my dog, now we visit to vet but to buy the product & regular check-up only.
Havoc bag been sick for many years with minimal luck. After a diagnosis of IBD in 2020, our vet put him on a low fat EN formula, with minimal help to his poor stomach. Several months later on the new food, he was still vomiting regularly and couldn't keep food down. A friend recommended your formula to me, and at this point I was desperate to try anything. Not only did he eat it right away (a large feat), he didn't "grow tired" of it and stop eating it after a few days! We noticed before we switched that they were always constipated and very lethargic. My boyfriend and I took them into the vet and they explained it might be their food. Since we have switched, both our dogs have not had any issues with their gut and the most energy I have ever seen them with! Our black lab is 5 years old and he is running around like a puppy again! After years of eating various specialized Duck formulas, I decided to try Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine Recipe. I did not get my hopes up, because my dog is a bit fussy. He went for the Wetlands Canine Recipe immediately. His coat was glowing within a week! I had some of his old favorite left from before the change, and my 3 year old German Shepherd turned his nose up to it. I am sold on this formula, and my best buddy seems to be pretty darned happy about it also!
