I used this for the first time on doors and trims.The finish is amazing for a water based product Check photos.Great gloss coverage and very easy to clean and apply.Used it over Taubmans 3 in 1 undercoat.So all door and trims were udercoated first and then Enamel over that.Recommended to me by a painter fried. Used foam roller for application and went on smooth as silk

Bought this last week and applied it over a fading gloss white which I went over with a 120 grit to prep the surface. The taubmans paint flows well, with a good brush of course, gives a pleasant bright white and looks good, when covering a clean white prepped surface, but even with a long and solid stirring it does not cover as well as I'd hoped and needs at least 3 coats on some areas.

Don’t waste your money. Unless you are painting the same colour that has already been painted with an oil based gloss paint and your doing a refresh. When they say water based it well and truly is……feels like more water than paint in the tin I bought. Even two coats still doesn’t give a good coverage.

I love the glossy, enamel finish of this paint, and have used the white for all my skirting boards, door frames and window frames.There is a bit of a learning curve associated with using this paint because it starts drying very quickly once applied, so if you over-work it, you'll get a blobby texture from the partially-dried sections, which can be annoying. The best way to avoid this is by using three or four quick, light coats - waiting for each coat to dry well before applying the next.I'm really happy with the results I've had and would not select any other paint/finish for the areas I've used this on.
Painted my kitchen doors firstly with a primer - no worries. Then used this paint with monument tint. Allowed two days to dry and it was still tacky. Gave it a second coat and it's stick tacky after another 2 days, one of those outside in the sun on a 28deg C day.
Had high hopes for this paint but unfortunately it did not deliver. Just to paint a door required 6 coats! The paint is too ‘thin’ and dries quickly which means you constantly get roller marks in the finish. I’m no paint expert but I think a paint that is thicker and dries slower would be better suited.
Easy paint to use. Looks great and covers well. I used it on my doors throughout the house. AAA

The difference is really significant.Taubmans has better opacity than the British, so you are only going to need to do 2 coats as opposed to 3 or 4. You still need to prime on new surfaces though, or you will find you need a third coat.As usual with MDF, make sure you sand the "endgrain" after the primer to achieve a smoother finish. Tip: You can use jointing compound to fill accidental gouges from a chisel, it sands very smooth and sticks well..As usual with enamel paints, don't fiddle with it after laying off. For a water based enamel, it does a great job. Good coverage, strength and finish and easy clean up
