I am 58 years old. I have played golf since I was 12 years old. The equipment that I have used in my time on the golf course has changer tremendously over the years! I bought a Stealth Plus and made the decision to customize it to a yellow face instead of the standard red. I'm a Iowa Hawkeye fan and it looks great. Anyway, this driver has exceeded my expectations. It's been at least five years since I have driven a par four. I went in for a fitting and compared my current Stealth to the newer one; I must admit that numbers don't lie and I was getting about 10-15 more yards out of the new one but most importantly, the spin numbers were just in the perfect sweet spot for me. We fiddled and tried out various shafts and found that the Ventus Blue, Regular produced the best numbers and shot shape.I elected to 'Custom' order my club using the MyStealth2 program and was very pleased with both the process and build. Initially, I was told not to expect my new driver until sometime in April - then it showed up mid-March! Surprise! I have been a 15 hcp for years due to not being able to keep a driver in play. My driver swing speed is 98-103 typically. Iron play and putting are fine, strokes gained analysis showed what I knew- I’m a 25 hcp off the tee and a 5 hcp after the tee shot. My last “few” drivers were....Titlest 813- when I hit the sweet spot, ball was hammered, out to 270 yds, but yardage greatly dropped on off center hits- which are my norm.Ping G400- Very forgiving and a huge improvement over the 813, but I was giving up yardage-quite a bit. Gamed it got almost 3 years, then in the quest for more distance, off to the....Sim 2- much better distance, but I think poorly fitted shaft for my swing- I had no control over the club face. My playing partners were in awe especially from ME being the one doing that- it’s not my MO. The club head speed is up about 2 mph, ball speed is up about 3mph. Mishits don’t hurt much. I have found driving Nirvana.

Really liked the driver while it lasted but as previous TM drivers/woods they just don't last long at all. I got this driver through the MyTaylormade 2 week trial and it didn't even last the 2 weeks. The carbon face thats glued in (which is the reason this happens) popped out again. Not the first time with TM drivers/woods. It seems that if you have around 120 SS and use the driver at the range this will not last you more than 100 or so swings. I wanted to give TM a try again but back to another brand i guess. I want a driver that will last me for at least a year without having to get a replacement. TM replaces clubs really well but I want to game a club and get comfortable with it and not have to get it replaced multiple times and start over.

With those TM clubs, she also invested so many different TM shafts too (20+ and that include some of the high end shafts cost over $300+). But everything changed with just ONE driver. Anyway, she wasn't hitting any longer and the club was not even forgiving as previous versions. Her driver performance dropped dramatically because she could not trust the club anymore. If I can give MINUS stars, I would love to. She was enjoying lots of discounts from TM but from now on, forget about it. After what happened during the tournaments (two nationwide), she said she doesn't want to play with TM products anymore. She also lost lots of confidence with other TM clubs like hybrid and fairway woods. That was when I finally pull the trigger, time change. I sold few TM clubs at EBAY for knock-off price and used rest of them to trade in for different brand clubs after fitting. She even changed her golf ball TP5X to other brand and her gloves too. She still has few new TM gloves in her bag but just ordered gloves again from different company. Because of the ONE piece of equipment, I had to change everything. Now, she has ZERO TM gears in her bag.

I spent a lot of time at the range and played four rounds with it. The face feels softer than titanium but solid on good contact, even on a mishit the feel is pretty good. On the Trackman my ball speed is the same as my original SIM (163-163) and on the course my drives are in the usual spots; so really no distance gains for me. Where this driver shines for me is I just hit a lot more fairways over my SIM and my G425 lst. The face looks larger which gives me confidence and I like that the weight track is back, I tried the SIM2 and did not like the front weight closer to the heel. TM customer service is the reason I gave the rating 4 stars. They are the best. I purchased the 9.0 stealth 2 with a 75 gram x shaft and was hitting moon balls. I mean higher than my pitching wedge. The club feels great but the launch was way too high with the 25g weight in the rear of the driver head. So I called TM and they sent me 3 different TMM weights for the front to counter balance the rear weight more. They also sent me a new shaft with a lower launch profile and a tool all free of charge. I don’t like that the rear tungsten weight can’t be changed in this model but the fact that they did right by me as a customer by sending additional equipment and refunded my shipping costs means a lot.
I've used most versions of TaylorMade's line from the Tour Burner in '08. They've continued to improve the products through advanced materials, skilled engineering and feedback from Tour Ambassadors and users like me. My Stealth 2 purchase was made through the TM custom shop. I knew the shaft and grip characteristics I wanted, and color palette, so this was an easy step-by-step build for me. The club arrived one week earlier than expected, and I have not been disappointed in its performance. I've gradually shifted my through-the-bag clubs to TaylorMade from Titleist products over the last 5-6 years. I don't see any reason to change that strategy. TaylorMade has been great for my game.

It's been awhile since I bought a Taylormade product, last was a burner mini driver which is a really fun fairway finder that I still use in a vacation set. I really like the size of this head compared to my Ping g425 max. Personally I've never had an issue hitting driver, Stealth 2 plus goes far and toe/heel miss hits are very forgiving with distance. I do love the look or this driver and it sounds mean when you catch one. Another great aspect is all the hosel adjustments that Taylormade allows. Specifically, this driver lie angle was a bit flat for me in standard from playing other brands. I really love that they allow lie angle adjustments that don't effect loft of the club. It's my main men's club gamer and I'm enjoying it.
