Had this phone now for 3 months so plenty of time to evaluate….it shows potential, but with its specs I expected a lot more….If u can imagine Nokias, Samsungs, Motorolas as something like a Porsche this is a MG.Positives are the battery, quick charging, great camera, little bloatware…negatives are it can be lumbersome and slow for apps to respond, Hotspot connection is very poor…TCL will make good phones in the future, but I feel that at the moment they are still in the “teething” stage re their manufacture…they do a reasonable job but just need fine tuning.

Best value for money for a high specification phone with 256gb memory, a bigger screen, better battery life and excellent camera and screen resolution. A phone with such spec with other brands would cost more than double the price so def worth it and a very good phone.

Decent phone if you want a basic smartphone. Battery life not as good as expected. Great storage. Will get you out of trouble if you need a cheap phone.

My last phone was the TCL plex, the only upgrade to the 20l was the screen wasn't smashed like my plex. Hate the punch hole now move dead centre, and hardly any 3rd party accessories eg case screen protector. Like the side finger print sensor, higher storage capacity, and the included case is more durable than the plex.
Fast midrange phone, with plenty of ram and flash storage. I haven't used the camera much but it takes a decent photo in good lighting which is the most I ever do.The Android skin doesn't have much bloat and beside a few preinstalled apps (Netflix, Facebook etc.) it's a pretty clean, very close-to-stock experience.Crazy good battery life owing to the large battery inside, but the phone is decent in size so to be expected.Edit: had to remove reference to one of the preinstalled apps as the name is also a URL
Great budget phone! Great specs! Missing QR scan feature in the camera, that's my only gripe, other than that, the camera is fantastic! Has plenty of storage, software performs steadily, amazing camera and has the NCF feature. Great for school or someone who wants a decent phone without the price tag. Comes with a jelly Case too. Well worth it, considering I was slightly jubious at first.
This is very good phone as per price offered. But the only problem is TCL has very less service centers hence it is very difficult to get your phones services as in my case touch pad stopped working after 2 days of start using it and now i have no centers to get it fixed. Living with it now as H&N return policy is only for 7 days.
Good camera, fast responses from app to app. Colours and bright screen. Doesn't have always on display. Boring ringtones. The back is a weird feeling,slippery. Speaker is decent. Stero music play is decent.Con: keeps disconnecting from my car Bluetooth. Better than my Oppo A54.
Opening the gallery can take 5 seconds. They are files on my phone why do they take that long.I cant send or receive mms messages unless I wait for it to fail and then restart the phone. Then it will work.But thats OK because the whole phone starts glitching if you dont restart it every 3-4 days.Would not buy again.
I purchased this product a little over three weeks ago and within the first 10 days it hard started to play up. The worst is when trying to make out going calls, it will either freeze up and make a continues dial tone or will be very slow to follow the dial patter you have entered and then not allow you any options to flick back to use speaker phone or if you need to input data whilst on a call will not light back up the screen. The camera is terrible on selfie mode and is just decide when it wants to work or flick between options/pages etc. Highly recommend spending a few extra dollars and investing in an Oppo, which is what I have had prior to this TCL and will be going back to when I have returned this phone.
