TCL 75" C755 QD-Mini LED 4K Google Smart TV

Following some early teething problems, some things I did not understand, I went back to the store at Tuggerah and had a very helpful and patient man who got me to understand the workings of the TV and Remotes. I came home and did all that I had been requested to do, and the TV is working beautifully. I particularly like the Remote with the Soundbar that allows me to bring the voices forward and not the background music, which can be overpowering at times.

Bang for buck!

I have had this tv for a few days now, replacing a FHD Sony that was excellent. This tv is good, but a budget tv, so can’t compare to top of the range mini leds like Sony etc. That being said, the picture quality is great for half the price, tho is good to tweak the settings to your liking. Movies are great and just as good as most midrange big name brands. The Google tv is excellent and smooth, TCL tv is also a good extra. I haven’t used if much for gaming, but it’s fantastic on my Xbox series s, would be even better on series X or PS5..I was sceptical buying this tv having only owned Panasonic and Sony, but this tv is definitely worth buying if you’re not wanting to spend double the price for a big name brand tv.

Excellent value for money

Pleasantly surprised by this TV. Quality picture and incredibly good value for money. Have typically only purchased Sonys and steered away from less premium brands but this tv seems to offer similar quality and tech for half the price. Highly recommended.

First Impressions

12 hours in and I'm extremely impressed so far.The 4k content looks great with no problems in our very bright room. Google TV is easy to use and I'm still exploring. I did have an initial problem with it turning my surround amp on through the HDMI ARC input every time the TV was turned on. But after searching the array of different settings I found the ARC auto on and turned it off. The sound is pretty impressive, there's no need for a soundbar and there's plenty of bass with the Onkyo sub. So a really great TV for the price and only time will tell if it last's as long as my 10 year old Samsung.

Glitchy and randomly restarts

Purchased this TV at the recommendation of the sales assistant that this is the newest and best technology. After a few hours of watching, I am wishing I had gone with my original choice. The picture gets glitchy when there is flashing lights (machine gun fire in action movies, flashing lights). It’s bareable, and I can’t afford to buy another one now.It has randomly restarted on me twice in the 24hrs I have owned it, and then needed a complete restart to work again. It is what it is now. Hopefully TCL will update any glitches they have reported

Good tv

Dont normally leave reviews but this is a very high quality TV with extreamly dark blacks. Rivils many of the high end tvs but at a very low cost. I like how its basically stock Google TV software instead of some of the other brands comple software. highly recomend this TV.

Great features & excellent value

My son needed to purchase a new TV after his older Sony 55” died. He uses it for games as well as steaming movies & shows. We already had a 55” TCL in the family room, which has worked well since purchasing. We looked at a few brands but after speaking with an excellent JB staff member, we agreed on the TCL. Great price & certainly a major step up from his Sony. Well worth considering a TCL.

Great value-for-money alternative to an OLED

These budget/mid-price mini-LED TVs are so good now. Nothing can match an OLED for blackness of blacks, but this is so close you won't really care, especially when you think of the $$$ you've saved over an LED. Image sharpness, colour, and shadow detail on this TCL are excellent and motion is smooth. This isn't a gaming TV for me so I haven't used the 144Hz input but for movies and TV I have no complaints.I found the remote control and navigation system intuitive. The presets for picture and sound work well and are easy to switch between. I use external speakers, but the TV sound is better than on any flat-screen I've owned before. if you don't already have a home theatre set-up, give the built-in sound a go - you might find you can live with it and save even ... MoreThese budget/mid-price mini-LED TVs are so good now. I'd say it's as good as a lot of cheaper soundbars at least. If I have one quibble, I'd like more options for tweaking the picture settings, but that's really nitpicking and is more about me liking to fiddle with stuff than any actual need to do it :)Very happy with my purchase and I'd give it a strong recommendation. You'd have to check other reviews for comments about gaming though.

Must have for Gamers

Owned for 2 days but so far, the tv is excellent. Brightness and blacks are top level. Was worried about some other reviews but after tweaking the tv settings, I can honestly recommend this tv. Make sure to search for, and play around with settings as much as possible, as some settings are hidden and it can make the world of difference for certain content.

THE value pick of the year - buy instead of Sony

Picked up on a whim at a relatively low $700 due to a sale (and an extra discount form JB Perks!) and WOW was I not ready for how much of an improvement this is from my previous Hisense LED/LCD TV from 2021 at the same price. Deep blacks, great brightness, unbeatable HDR. BUY THIS TV. Don't get a basic Sony LED for the same price when you can have Mini-LED goodness for cheap(er). As an image quality purist and colour accuracy fiend, the colours in the most accurate Film picture preset looked amazing out the box and with some fine tuning (removing artificial sharpness, turning off noise reduction and motion smoothing etc.) you get an experience only rivaled by the cinema and by OLEDs triple the price. The 120hz with VRR works like a charm on my Xbox and the 144hz ... MorePicked up on a whim at a relatively low $700 due to a sale (and an extra discount form JB Perks!) and WOW was I not ready for how much of an improvement this is from my previous Hisense LED/LCD TV from 2021 at the same price.
