They fit identical to the alpinestars supertech r, so great boot if your feet are on the wide side.Hard to rate on protection but the boots feel very sturdy but light at the same time, airflow is also hard to rate but since my old boots had no ventilation my new boots will be a great improvement.Easy to put on and off and after a full day at the track my feet felt great. I was even tempted to drive home in them, which says a lot because I couldn’t wait to take my old boots off as they were not the right width for my feet.I was tossing up between these and the supertech r boots but the blue colourway won me over. Happy with purchase.Pros: 1) Wide in the balls of the feet after stretching while walking in the store, I believe this is due to the criss-cross synthetic material at the the top of the foot (zig-zag white triangular material). 2) grippy soles 3) Comfortable for standing and light walking at the track. 4) Fairly stiff in ankle for lateral bends but I can shift gears with moderate effort. 5) Feet did not feel hot on an 85 degree day.Cons: 1) Can't fit my track suit inside easily inside but to be fair, my leather leggings are loose and not snug. 2) Price is on the high side if you just need a wide boot. 3) The inside padding is somewhat thin, for example the tongue cushion compresses easily compared to the Alpinestar SMX v2 Plus. 4) Not as easy to ... MoreFit my 10E feet! 2nd purchase from RevZilla after the Sidi Mag was too narrow. Easy to get in & out of, execellent adjustment controls for comfort, unbelievable feel on the pegs. If you have a wide foot, you can’t go wrong with TCX.Also, RevZilla is an amazing distributor for motorcycle gear. Customer service on the phone, & their shipping policies are top notch. Very happy with the purchase however these boots are a bold blue (like most gear that is blue). To the pictures that are on the Revzilla site the boots look like they might be brighter blue but don't let the photo trick you (I am glad they are as blue as they are).The boots feel amazing and did not take long to break into.Would purchase again.
TCX RT Air are Great boots !, but the video by Revzilla is Crappy .I feel like he made the whole video to talk us OUT of buying the Airs...Never explained anything about how the boots zip up, how the top fasteners work, what is inside of the boot, any laces? anything?? Do they run true to size?...Nothing...Just all the reasons he feels the old RT is a better boot. for the money. Great help! Great salesmanship! NOT!
Got the chance to ride in my new boots the weekend. The TCX race pro air boots were instantly comfortable and felt amazing. Look amazing. Not a single complaint. 10/10 recommend. Thank you Cycle Gear
First off, these boots are not worth $500. I ended getting these for $350 shipped to my door from another vendor which made them a great deal. They are extremely light and non-bulky to an extent that I have never felt. My previous boots that I wore were a pair of 2009 A* SMX plus air, Dainese Torque RS out air, and Sidi Mag-1.By far these boots feel the thinnest and most flexible out. I don't know how they well hold up in a crash since they feel flimsy, but walking around and riding with them felt great. Shifter and brake feel are second to none since the TCX aren't bulky in any way. Getting in and out of the boot also requires less effort since the inner bootie is much like a snowboard shoe.
