The 1210 MK7's look super sleek in all black, very snazzy. They're maybe a third, at least, or a half, at most, lighter in weight than earlier models of 1210, great if you're going to be transporting them from your home or set up. The detachable phono and power cables are handy, especially noticeable if you've ever had to change a cable on the old models. The back of the deck dips in where the plugs for cable attachment are housed, this is a tidy little touch. Performance wise the platter seems to have a little more torque, but the overall feel of manually adjusting rotation speed is lighter, maybe a little more easier to control. My criticism of these would be that they feel a little cheaper than previous models, the buttons, pop-up light etc don't feel as robust ... MoreThe 1210 MK7's look super sleek in all black, very snazzy. Overall I'm adjusting to them nicely, I expect any Technics fan may have a period of getting used to them, but growing to like them as I am. If you can't find a decent pair of second hand MK5's, these are the way to go.

Technics by far makes the best turntable. Once something has been perfected there is not much else you can do to make it any better. With this recent model Technics gave us that perfection with a few little tweaks. I like how they went all black matte finish. It's a good looking deck and worth every penny in my opinion. Buy this table as you will not be disappointed. Keep the vinyl rockin"Peace!

Technics make the best DJ turntable hands down and every DJ knows that. I purchased this to replace SL1210 115V as I moved to Germany from the USA and didn't want to have to purchase a step down transformer to get them to work so I bought this which is the newest one Technics has put out. It is just as good as with a few extra little improvements. If you are looking to get into mixing with vinyl you must purchase a set of this model. Don't waste your money on anything else. Just buy this you wont be disappointed.Peace!

Order a set MK7 on Friday the 7th of January, got delivered on Monday!! Real quick shipment!!Been running the MK2 for 25 Years. After testing the MK7 for a week, great Turntable.A couple of dipswitches beneath the platter can activate 78RPM for those who need it, activate reverse and even change the LED color to blue.In comparison to the MK2, it's just lovely to just plug is the separate cables, AC cable is grounded, RCA is slight thicker as well as the ground cable.Popup light works very well, +7 pitch is no issue.Double boxed,In the package: headshell, stickers, warranty, manual, 7" 45 adapter, tonearm weight, and a Technics slipmat. The MK7 pitch is digital in comparison to the MK2 pitch which was analog. Previously had the sl1210 mk 2 and could not fault them at all... so I was very intrigued to find out if these lived up to its predecessor..And not dissapointed one bit, absolute quality and lovely to use..Only difference I noticed which is small is that the pop up light isn’t as sturdy as it’s original, but I’m guessing this style is easier to change..love them..
It is expensive but top quality and having the cables detachable is a good improvement for the Mk7. The Mk7 is a bit lighter than previous 1200/1210s. For people new to the technics it is also worth noting that they do not come with a cartridge and stylus so that also needs to be factored into the cost.
The new improved MK7 version of the Technics, a familar face but with a few new tricks and bits, which improve on what has been the industry standard for 50 years. MK2 had a built in ground and audio cable, these MK7 have an area where you can attach and detach the leads ... which saves on the longevity of the leads especially if you have good audio cables. The turntables are sturdy though they are lighter than the MK2. I'm still a lil bit on the fence with the pitch, but I am coming from using Numark TTX's which responded great, the pitch is good probs just me and takes a bit of getting used to. Overall a fantastic purchase, love them.
Very fine turntable, fantastic looks and very smooth operation. I really appreciate the interchangeble cable option and the settings on the torque and the led colour. However craftsmenship is far from perfect. Firstly, the tonearm lift is far worse then on the mk2, it even makes a squeaking noise when lifting the tonearm. The target light assembly is a cheap-feel solution, but at least it is led and bright. So bright that it reflects directly into your eyes from the side of the platter. Not very convenient. Otherwise I recommend this for home/hobby DJ use. I think the audiophile community will not appreciate these issues that I just mentioned. But in terms of operation, I find this really a joy to play and mix with.
Just got two of these and it really makes a huge difference. As soon as it arrived home, I installed them and started mixing right away. It couldn't be any better, it's just so smooth and nice.
