Says it's built in Japan in the Overview, but actually built in Malaysia on the back of the chassis. About a 3000 mile difference. A more accurate description would be designed in Japan.

I bought this turntable and plugged it in to a 1 billion amp, 1 trillion watt powerstation locomotive phono preamp. After my house and half my neighborhood exploded, I must say I am completely satisfied. Next time, I'll buy 7.
I am very satisfied with all parts of it.The construction is innovative and the finish is beautiful.The sound is detailed and accurate. With a good choice of speaker it can produce a very dynamic sound. The built-in phono is one of the best I have ever encountered. This amp is a true masterpiece.
This.intergrated Technics receiver has so much power. It's just what I was looking for, and I'm a happy camper. I definitely recommend it. Thank You!
