I've struggled to find a more aggressive shoe that worked for my foot. These give me a feel that I didn't even know I was looking for.These are awesome! While this is the first pair of aggressive climbing shoes I have owned, it is far from the first I have tried. I have long, downturned toes and fairly low-volume feet. Women's climbing shoes generally stop at a 41, and I wear a 42.5, so finding unisex shoes that fit my feet was difficult! I got these shoes as an aggressive complement to my neutral Sportiva Mythos (also fit me great, for reference), and I've enjoyed working on improving my footwork with such a precise, capable shoe. I used to wear a USW7 in these for a tighter fit that also hurt, but feel like the half size up works just as well for performance at the upper amateur level. They are snug and my toes are pushed close together this way. These shoes are super great for edging on small foot holds because the narrow toe box lets me easily control where my weight goes, and they still retain enough flexibility for larger volumes if you only want to have one shoe. I also feel like the heel is snug and tight enough on my heel for hooks. I do wish there was some more rubber for toe hooking but that would compromise the lacing system that makes these shoes fit like a glove. Tenaya run large compared to street shoe sizing. I went down a full size from my street shoe for a tight but comfortable fit, with minimal toe flexion. I have a narrow heel and find that most shoes leave a gap in the back/bottom corner of the shoe even though they are flush with the back and bottom of the heel. The Tarifa have minimal to no gap here. My prior shoes were Scarpa Helix size 43 and I went with Tarifa in 41.5. Street shoes are around 42.5.The toebox is on the narrow side as someone with a narrow foot with long toes. Overall fairly comfortable for a moderately aggressive shoe.Shoes perform well across the board.

They were reasonable out-of-the-box and have only gotten better.I hate constantly taking my shoes on and off, and because these are so comfortable I don't have to. But in the event that you want to, the lacing system is extremely quick and easy.If you're looking for comfort and performance together in a shoe that allows you to feel the climb, looks great and is convenient to get on and off, Tarifa might be your answer.

I have narrow, low volume feet, small/narrow heel, and the real kicker—Morton’s toe. It was feeling impossible to find a decent fit! If it fit the toes ok then it was way too baggy in the heel, and vice versa! All of the shoes especially killed my second toe and was causing shooting pains up my feet and legs! Finally got my hands on the Tenaya Tarifa and I couldn’t believe it. They hug my feet snug and tight everywhere but do not kill my second toe!! But based on the fit alone I can’t wait to try more from on Tenaya.
These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever climbed in. Like other reviewers, I too have a narrow foot. Normally a size 10.5 in street shoes, bought these in 9/42 and they gave been my go to shoe for two years now. Minimal stretching in that time but definitely some. I've climbed outdoors and indoors on these and even prefer them on long multipitch routes. The toe box is really comfortable with my toes bunched up "just right" and makes edging or precision placements easy. They have held up amazingly well but I take care of my stuff.

There is no amount of cleaning and shoe deodorizers that will work. From the moment I first tried them on it was a Cinderella moment. They fit just right, made me feel more confident on the wall AND they are SUPER comfortable. I was a relatively new climber when I got my first pair and they lasted longer than other shoes I've tried (including others by Tenaya) even when I still had some bad climber footwork habits. Pretty true to size, my street shoe is typically a women's 7.5-8 and I get these in 6.5 (7.5 women's). I think my feet are about average width.
