This transformed my game experience with TM. The base game components were always lacking and let down what is a classic game. With the small box expansion the game looks and feels great when playing. Sure, it doesn't change the actual gameplay but it definitely enhances the entire experience. Yes, it's expensive but if TM hits your table regularly and you haven't already upgraded your components, a highly recommend the small or big box expansion.

You do not need this expansion to play the game! Game mechanics are not changed by this box. Having said that, I love the 3D tiles and I appreciate the extra space that has allowed me to compress all my TM expansions into the base box and this supplemental one. I would never recommend buying this for a game that never sees the table, but TM does make it to the table (a lot) and this just makes it more interesting when it does.

These are even better than I thought they would be! Wonderful look and feel and will really make for a more visually appealing game than just the flat tiles.
