Oh my goodness...I absolutely love these sandals! I've been wanting a new pair of Teva's for a few years now but have never found a pair that I liked. The edges of the straps and the triangle pieces always rubbed into my feet. Not with these. These shoes were made for me. There's cushioning in all the places where the other styles rubbed my feet. Yay!! The footbed is also way more comfortable. It's got more cushioning and foot contour/arch support than the hurricanes. I will say that the footbed is more on the wide side but that's perfect for me as I have wider feet. (If you have narrow feet, this may be an issue.) There's no break in period with these. This is my first Teva purchase, and I'm really happy with it! I haven't tested them out for very long, but I've enjoyed them for under 5 mile walks and walking on the beach. I don't feel like my feet slip at all in them and they were comfortable as they air dried and I continued to walk. Sometimes the straps are a little scratchy in spots if the straps get out of place, but I do appreciate the soft fabric pads they have by the ankles/where the plastic loops are for the straps. I love the color too!! I'm overall really happy and look forward to using them more. I do wear a size 9 in Brooks running shoes, so had to return the 9 in this. The 8 fits perfectly.

They're cushy and the extra grip gives you a false sense of security when you're walking along slick surfaces. However, on wet trails, clay and mud get jammed in the sole crevices, so it can become a slippery situation...and definitely don't let the mud sit and dry because it's hard to clean.The little neoprene covers under the buckles are a nice touch. And the underside is always still moist. For overnight camping, they are most definitely cold and wet at 5am.Will I keep buying Teva even though I'm always slightly disappointed when I have them in adventure mode? Yes...because they're comfortable and they look good.

These sandals withstood some light wet rock climbs and transitioned from sand to shopping area just fine with a quick rinse and fast drying time. Four solid stars as the foot holds did have some give and while that made me a bit nervous when it came to climbing, moving quickly and trusting that my feet wouldn’t shift around, I didn’t take it too technical with these sandals as I would another water sandal with a toe cap and a bit more of a supportive structure. This is my first pair of the brand so I was surprised how wide the footbed was! All in all a nice choice for those casual warm-weather trails.
I bought these for canoeing, and although I have not used them on our canoe yet, I tried them on my wet slippery deck after a rain and they didn't slip at all! Pretty amazing grip on the bottom! The straps are adjustable, which is great for my wider feet and keeps them secure! Personally, I would like a little more thickness in the sole for walking so I don't think I would use them on long trails... but for canoeing, boating or poolside, these are fantastic. Kind of pricey...but what isn't these day! And they do the job! I may order another color!
I wanted a disney shoe for when it rains or water rides. I didn't even wear them 2 hours before I noticed the shoe pushes my pinkie toe into the next toenail. Shoe gives u bad blisters. I wore them in the water in the bahamas. Cut my toe on a reef so no protection. And every tiny rock got stuck in the shoe under my feet and the only way to get them out was to take the shoe off. Ended the day with so many blisters between my toes again. I can't think of anywhere now I'm going to wear these. Sigh. I had high hopes for these. Expensive shoes I don't know if I'll even wear.

I wanted a quick easy Velcro adjustment so that I could easily wear my neoprene socks with them in cooler weather. When I saw this new style I decided to take a chance and ordered a black pair.I fell in love with them the second I put them on my feet. They have the cushion and a bit of arch support that the hurricanes lack. And they are more sturdy and better colors than the universal trail (women's). They are comfortable right out of the box. No issues with them rubbing anywhere. Also, they have amazingly grippy rubber on the sole. Perfect for navigating wet rocks. As a very loyal Teva fan and avid kayaker I was excited to see Teva created a sandal that was specifically designed for the water. However, I am disappointed. I would strongly advise anyone who is in the water for long periods of time and in any sort of mud to not purchase these shoes. I wore my pair for the first time today while kayaking. Overall, the weather was great and mud was nothing major. Yet the straps were covered in mud and would not come out. I had to heavily scrub them after my kayaking trip with dish soap and they are still spotty. These shoes are certainly designed and hold up well in water, but I would advise not wearing them for any sort of rugged water wear unless you want to have stains all over the straps.

In addition, the straps are fully adjustable, which is absolutely necessary for people with narrow feet. The sandals run slightly larger than other shoes I own. I usually wear a size 9, and these in size 9 are one size too big. The footbed of the sandal is cream color. I wear my sandals while camping, walking, using the garden hose, playing in water, etc. A darker color in the footbed would be better for me as the light color is going to show dirt right away. I did not get the chance yet to test these in an wet creek. Walking in the sandals, the sole feels cushioned, which would allow one to walk miles without discomfort. I have a very high arch, and prefer a sandal with arch support built in. Although these do have some arch support, it is not enough for my very high arch.And one last very important point. I ride a bicycle with "pegged" pedals. My bike shoes are incredibly HOT, so I need a cooler shoe when it gets hot here in Texas. I tested these sandals on my bike pedals, and they are a winner for sticking to the bike pedals. I just got my self a new pair of bike shoes!
