For the past 18 months, I have been trying to replace the ultimate water sandal - Columbia Interchange sandals that I bought at MEC several years ago. You could rotate the back strap from behind the heel to the top of the foot, instantly converting it to a slide sandal which was perfect for walking around the campsite because you can easily slide them off to get into the tent or when changing. For paddling and swimming, I would rotate the heel strap and then I'd have a great fitting sandal that would stay on during portages, cliff jumps, etc. They lasted for years but when I needed to replace them, I could not find another convertible or interchange type sandal. MEC no longer carries Columbia sandals either.I was forced to replace them this year and went with this ... MoreFor the past 18 months, I have been trying to replace the ultimate water sandal - Columbia Interchange sandals that I bought at MEC several years ago. MEC no longer carries Columbia sandals either.I was forced to replace them this year and went with this Teva sandal because the back strap can be detached on one side and I found a way to fold the velcrow and stack it with the front strap to create a slide. If there was a hinge/pivot like the Columbias, it would be faster and easier, but this is the best that I've found.I just returned from a 4 day canoe trip with many wet, muddy, rocky and steep portages and the new Tevas stayed on, had great grip, and rinsed clean. They converted nicely when I had time to do the folding trick. And they stayed on when swimming. My only complaint is that I did get blisters on the inside of my heels from the part where the front ankle and back ankle straps are attached. This may have been due to a long time with wet feet and walking thru too much ankle deep mud on our first portage. I'm curious to see how they will perform in other conditions. On the third day, I had to start wearing socks with my sandals when they were wet to stop the rubbing which was not a good look for swimming, but was comfy. Fortunately, there were no fashion police in the woods to mock my style.I wish that somebody would make a sandal like the Columbia Interchange that rotates at the heel strap. Those sandals were worth their weight in gold. These ones look better, but function is really what I need here. But for now, I'm happy with the Tevas.

It took me a long time to find a pair of adventure sandals that I was satisfied with. These have fit the bill! The black matches most of my casual outfits and the thin straps definitely make the sandals a bit more stylish than the original Terra Fi. The squishy cushioning on the straps made these sandals comfortable right out of the box for my narrow feet! The soles are grippy, which have been nice when I wear these for kayaking and SUPing. Great for walks or short hikes too.

Needed something suitable for walking in hot steamy climates and with shock pad heel support. I have plantar fasciitis. These fit the brief perfectly.Have been walking round the streets of old town Hanoi and they’re great. Yes I recommend them.

It met all my needs. First extremely comfortable to wear on vacation. I have significant issues with my feet, so this is key when looking for any shoes, sneakers or sandals. They also passed for dress sandals. Went on a cruise & used them for most, if not all activities. These will be great for summer that is not too casual. I own other TEVA sandals that are for my everyday use.
I am solidly a 9.5. In other styles, the 9 is just too small and the 10 looks like a giant's shoe. These fit perfectly. The thinner straps are more feminine and I I appreciate that having big feet. I have a more narrow foot and I appreciate the strap across the toes actually has two smaller straps vs the one larger one on other styles. The sole is comfortable on the bottom of my foot and they are lightweight. I'm excited to have Teva's that feel good, fit well, and look cute too.
I really like the style comfort and versatility of this Teva sandal. It is stylist and practical. I bought it for my month long trip to Indochina in the autumn but have tried them out this summer and am a complete convert. They keep your feet cool, no need for socks of course but I can cycle in them, walk long distances and they also look smart enough to wear out in the evening with a dress or shorts. One shoe fits all purposes.
These feel like a true women's standard medium width, but narrower than some other tevas. If you'd describe your feet as normal or even a little narrow, try these. Also, these don't feel tough and durable like the terra fi universal. They're very lightweight and the sole doesn't feel hiking durable, it feels like a beach sandal for strolling. Also ran just a bit shorter than some Tevas. I'm usually an 8 in teva sandals, but in these I'd need to go 8.5.So I give this sandal 3 stars for my purposes, and in comparison to the terra fi universal. But these are good sandals if you're looking for narrow and lightweight. But I'm returning them.
I bought these because I needed a hiking sandal for my recent hiking ventures. I can't wear closed shoes for a while so I needed an open toe shoe that I could still hike in. We did two hiking trips to Yosemite and Glacier national parks, so we hiked daily while there. We were averaging about 10 miles a day. Elevation gain varied from 400 feet to 3500 feet. These sandals did well hiking on level ground, however when it came to steep terrain, I felt like the grip wasn't there, I had a few times where I would be slipping which made it difficult to get traction. The sole of the sandal has some firmness but I think it didn't have enough when trekking through rocks to give the foot support and not feel the rocks under the feet. The sole of the sandal has some firmness but I think it didn't have enough when trekking through rocks to give the foot support and not feel the rocks under the feet. I like the little padding on the straps of the sandal so the plastic and the straps don't rub against your feet causing discomfort. However, if your feet sweat you will have the issue of getting blisters, because I would wear my sandals with socks I would be ok but when I would take the sock off and hike in them and with the heat my feet would sweat and where the sandal sat on those spots that pressed against my feet it would rub my skin raw causing blisters. So I will not be wearing them in the summer for hiking without socks and only use them for easy leveled and short hikes. I used them for biking too (10-20 miles) and they did ok but had to wear socks so I had more cushion on those pressure points and also so I didn't get blisters. I would not consider this a good hiking sandal for long and strenuous hikes, this is more for the causal walks out and maybe easy short hikes. I didn't try them in water so I don't know how they would perform in that way, So I would recommend them for daily use or easy hikes but for anything rugged and hard core, I would not recommend them. I'll give them this, they are cute sandals and they clean up easy, but only good for limited activities.
After searching and searching for comfortable shoes to wear to Disney World, I finally decided on the Teva Terra Fi Lite in Blue Lake. The color was pretty however; I wish this style came in the variety of colors other styles come in. I selected the Terra Fi Lite because of the thin padding under the straps (was afraid that the original style straps would chafe). I was super impressed with these shoes. I wore them for about 8-10 hours a day, walking constantly with little down time. I wore them the first 2 days with no foot pain at all. Day 3, I decided to change it up a little and wore my tennis shoes. My feet started hurting after only about 4-5 hours and I regretted my decision. I wore my Teva's the remainder of the trip. My feet did start hurting the last couple of days but I think it was strictly from being on them so long literally ALL DAY for a solid week. Everyone said to wear tennis shoes but I officially recommend Teva's instead. My feet did not get hot and sweaty, they did not hurt and I wasn't afraid to get them wet. People said your feet will get stepped on. No they didn't. Not one time. When my husband was complaining of his feet hurting, my feet were totally fine. Highly recommend!!
