Teva Women's Original Universal Slim Black US 10

I really love the thinner strap aesthetic. So many of the sandals have a geriatric orthotic shoe look. The coral color was beautiful and fun. My problem was this metal ring binding front straps. It's uncomfortable on the top of my foot and I bought these to wear for things like beach, pool, water park, kayaking etc. Anyone who's into these things knows something metal is going to superheat out in the sun. You'll have to hide your shoes under a towel so you don't get burnt. Tens please Find a way to remake these thin straps without the metal and please make a thin strap slide version (no irritating thong) and I'll be all in for a pair in every color.

I like these sandals a lot, the sole has a good amount of cushion so they're very comfortable and the pebbled texture against a bare foot feels nice - with socks you don't notice it. The straps are slim, but keep the shoe on without digging in, which is a problem I've had with other sandals. There are two Velcro points of adjustment, over the top of the ankle and over the top of the toes, I thought I would miss the back-of-the-heel adjustment, but honestly it fits great! I also think the hardware being metal is a nice touch, the triangles that keep the strap joints together are a light silver that gives it a slightly nicer look.My only cons are the color I got it in (my fault), and a kind of odd design in the pull-tab of the Velcro straps. For the color, I got "Tiger's Eye" and since it's a lighter color, it picks up dirt and scuffs more obviously, which I hadn't considered when I got them.The other con is that the part of the strap that you pull off the velcro has this additional weaving on the top of it, but that weaving doesn't extend to the whole strap. So I'm pulling on this stitching because I think it's the end and it's not coming up. I attached a picture to show better what I mean, you can see where some threads are loose that I kept trying to pull up :DNot a deal breaker, I still love these, but I'm not sure why they did that

This is a thin, modern take on the classic Teva velcro sandal that is comfortable and functional. The sandal is nice and light, and I like that it's partially made from recycled materials. I liked the narrower straps, and there was nice arch support in the footbed. The shoe as nicely wide through the toes, and with the velcro strap there as well, could be adjusted to a comfortable fit. Might be a touch wide aesthetically for very narrow feet, but I loved the shape. It says it features "Life Natural, a peppermint-based anti odor treatment" - there was no noticeable smell after hours of wearing (and none of that gross new plastic smell initially either), but it's also a very airy shoe. Ran true to size.
