Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner with Aloe Vera

Back in the day, I used to be super lazy with my skin care. Due to all the overnight study cram, my skin started to look dull with uneven skin tone. My friend suggested this toner as an extra step beside my facial care routine, which only consisted of washing my face with cleanser and a dab of moisturizer. I became a loyal right then and have been using this product for 4 years now. It helps a lot with alleviating face puffiness, calming your skin after an exfoliation or black head removal on the nose. You can soak cotton pads with the toner to make a face mask or use them to clean your skin before applying your skin care product or prepping your face for make up. So be sure that whenever you use this, you follow up with a good moisturizer!! I like to use Ponds Dry Skin Cream. One more thing: your skin will look noticeably clearer after the first use. HOWEVER, brace yourself for a purging period. About a week into using this daily, my skin started purging. It took about another week or two, and my skin cleared back up! And now it looks clearer than ever! I hardly even wear makeup anymore unless I’m going out. If you’re struggling with acne, give this product a chance! You’ll be so glad that you did! 🥰

I have mixed reviews about this product. The first day I used it, it immediately removed some pimples from my face. My first impression was "Wow." However, you do feel a burning sensation even though its supposed to be alcohol free. So I definitely would NOT recommend using this product or any other Thayers face toners everyday as a toner. After purchasing, I read that witch hazel has a drying effect and seen some results of people using Thayers everyday for 2 yrs and trust me it's best to heed the warnings beforehand. I received this toner for free to try in exchange for my honest review from Thayers and ChickAdvisor #gotitfree. I usually don't use a toner in my skincare routine so I was really excited to try this product. I applied it using a cotton pad after cleansing my face. Unfortunately I don't really feel like it did much for me or lived up to the claims on the bottle. The bottle says to "cleanse, tone, moisturize, and impart a natural glow to your skin". I found it didn't visibly cleanse; my cotton pad looked the same as it did before I used it, no gunk was removed from my skin. I also didn't notice any glow to my skin. It did make my face soft without applying moisturizer which was nice but nothing special because my moisturizer would have done the same thing. First, I really like that this toner does not contain alcohol or any fragrances. The formula with certified organic aloe vera that is a super gentle one to use it every day and that is pretty inexpensive. I want to say in fact I have my hubby use it for after shave. I find using it with a cotton pat is better. You can see the dirt coming off of your face with the cotton pat. It helps me to calm my skin and gives an extra bump of hydration before I applying with serum /Moisturizer. This watery toner also work to use it as a toner masking. It's the most effective if you need a mask but don't have time for the usual sheet mask.
