This is a great CD set. My original package was damaged before it was even shipped. The outer box was undamaged, but the inner box had a large gouge in it which affected the CD box as well. I called Target and they immediately rectified the situation. I am pleased with Target's service department and, of course, the Beatles Abbey Road deluxe set.

The remixes are clean , vibrant with crisp sound and worth every dollar. The sessions discs are also revealing , entertaining and insightful with happy bantor and the seriousness of their dedication to their craft. The 5.1 mix is sounds awesome on my Klipsch system with nice separation. .

I'm a big fan of the Beatles and have all of the "Deluxe" editions released so far (Sgt. Pepper and the White album). The 96Khz 24bit Stereo and 5.1 Surround sound mixes are simply incredible, but the Dolby Atmos mix on this new edition of Abbey Road takes things to the next level! Put simply, if you have an Atmos setup you are going to love this!
This is simply a must have for any die-hard Beatles fan. The book itself it absolutely gorgeous, with in-depth details about the band and album as a whole, but also breaks down the individual songs. Also included is some fascinating looks at the original handwritten lyric sheets, and all sorts of other tid-bits to geek out over. The 2 "out-take" CD's give a wonderful insight to the writing process of the boys as well as some truly beautiful versions that didn't make the final cut. Highly recommended!!!
I purchased this when it first came out over a month ago and still keep playing it. This package is worth it just for the Dolby Atmos version of the album. It’s the best version of Abbey Road you will hear! In addition to that there is a great booklet which has some great photos, the original album remixed and 2 CDs of demos and outtakes which include Paul’s demos of Goodbye recorded by Mary Hopkin and Come and Get It by Badfinger and The Long One which is an early attempt of the Side 2 medley with Her Majesty in its original location. This package is a must for Beatles fans.
This is a nicely presented package. The extras discs are interesting and I like the new stereo mix. The book included is very informative and full of relevant information. The big drawback is the menu set up on the blu-ray. It is very amateur and on my, newer, Sony player I cannot select a different sound mix. I can, just about, change it on my Denon player but it is a very poor menu. Once you select it, the surround mix is very good, with the vocals clear and centre just a pity I can't hear it on my main listening platform. Update: New F/W update on the Sony has sorted the menu issue so all good for surround mix. Must be good as my wife has noticed the difference.
This is a five-star product because it is a FIVE-STAR ALBUM, to start with. 'Abbey Road' was the Beatles ' swan song, and it has 'Here Comes The Sun' and 'Come Together '- both Top Ten hits. This is also one the first deeper dives into the Beatles catalog, similar to reissue and deluxe-issue campaigns by other groups of the same generation. It pulls together outtakes, demos and different versions of the songs on the release and helps give more depth to the album, if you're interested in this.
IF you can afford it and IF you have the requisite high fidelity system to appreciate it, and if you already appreciate the album, RUN - don't walk - to get this package. I had no idea it was a "package". Made the price-tag easier to swallow, after I received it. Great info. Great pics. The sound of the Blu-Ray disc via my Blu-Ray player: absolutely amazing.
To get to the other side.This release of the remixed classic together with assorted rehearsals, outtakes and interesting asides reinforces one thing above all. When the four of them were together they were a great BAND.The remix of the new album is punchy and pristine while preserving the artistic integrity of the original.
