Hemp is amazing...we’ve just forgotten about it. Hemp clothing, towels, beauty products etc are amazing!! For example, I have a beautiful 20-yr-old shower curtain made of hemp from the online store Rawganique. It still looks new, never molds & dries quickly. I've been shopping at the body shop since I was a teenager and I've always seen the hemp products. I was never interested in them because the scent is very earthy and I like sweet scents. Then I started hearing people talk about the hand protector and body butter. They spoke about how awesome this product was for their daughter who suffers from eczema or husband who works in construction. I finally decided to try it, because being in the medical industry, I was always washing my hands which caused painful, dry, cracked skin. I've been using it now for 10 years. I have pretty bad OCD, enough to be medicated for it, and I've always struggled with having dry hands. In the past, my hands got so dry they would crack and bleed due to constant hand washing, dryness, and cold weather.This hand lotion is a godsend! I can't tolerate most hand lotions because of the smell (usually artificial) is irritating to me and the lotion itself doesn't really stay on. While I'd admit this lotion takes a bit of getting used to, scent-wise, it works so, so well! I have come to really love the scent, too. It does leave your hands pretty oily if you put too much on, so use sparingly. I like to use this hand cream before going outside in the winter and also before bed.I prefer a lighter hand cream that soaks in entirely throughout the work day. But I prefer to use the hemp hand cream as a protectant.I sugar-oil scrub my hands then use a hydrating lotion or hand cream and then a few minutes after that has soaked in, I seal it all in with a coat of the hemp protector handcream. It does leave a slight sheen/film. I leave that on the backs of my hands but rub my palms on a cloth (or tissue) to remove any excess oils from my palms and fingertips. This stuff protects dry skin from further insult and damage.The best part of the product is the scent. I was somewhat skeptical having tried so many hand creams, from expensive to drugstore-priced variations. But this Hemp formula is amazing and I’ve never had a hand cream that has worked so well. My seriously chapped, winter-dry hands were VASTLY improved with this wonderful hand cream. I put this thrice a day for just a week and my hands were healthy and soft again. Even my nails are stronger and growing again.This moisturizer is so heavy duty that I sometimes leave it on overnight. This cream absorbs pretty quickly, doesn’t leave a sticky feeling on your skin, and has a pleasant fragrance (to me, it is lightly grassy). It’s not offensive and smells natural. You will wake up and have baby soft hands.

I live in Minnesota where winter really does a number on skin, especially on hands. Combined with being a frequent hand washer, I've always suffered from cracks in the skin on my fingertips.
