Card by card, trick bytrick, your search party will discover the challenges that lie ahead and forge apath to Mu. This new version of The Crew has the same innovative cooperativetrick-taking mechanic as the highly lauded original game — but with someexciting new surprises! While communication between your crew members is severely limited by yoursubmerged state, it is also critical to your success; finding the hidden land inthe murky depths depends not only on winning tricks, but also on carefullynegotiating the order in which they are won. There is something special about that wink and nod moment without anything being said and odds against you, your family and friends at the table know what to do and execute a task perfectly. Who knows, maybe if you put the kettle on Nan will want to join in and school everybody. Here is the challenging part! Before a trick is played, a team can only communicate through placing a card on the table, followed by placing a token indicating 1 of 3 facts. I’ll leave it at that. If you are like me, you may think ‘Who wants to play a game where nobody talks?’ I get it. Hear me out, after a round is ended the table is filled with conversation about what everyone was thinking, feeling and describing how it played out. Each 5 minute round is so short that victories can snowball into an avalanche of endorphins. On a loss, quick discussion naturally flows about what went wrong and what can we do better, and with each iteration your crew becomes more and more efficient and almost telepathic.I keep thinking about just another round with my wife and kids (9 and 12). Just a quick one before dinner, what about after the dishes? This is 100% a team building game. I love it.

I probably played the original The Crew through it's 50 scenarios three times with my family. It's a great game, and a great way to teach my teenager about basic cooperation, logic, and strategy. The newer version adds a twist that can be hard to keep track of at times, but add a level of complexity that didn't exist in the original. Highly recommended for those who enjoyed The Crew, and still recommended for those who have not, though I would recommend playing the original first.

This a great follow up to The Crew: The Quest for Planet Nine. The original was best with a dedicated group to follow the storyline & increasing difficulty of missions. I recommend this one for people that want to play with different groups. This has become my favorite card game of all time!

I'm doing a Blind Review because the same day that I ordered it (being that it's sold out in most places) I opened the The Crew: Search for Planet 9 and we played it and we were WOWED by how cool this game is. So this review is a bit based on the FIRST CREW, and knowing that there are some changes and differences, but the game is still pretty much the same style I'm still going to give it a 5-star. Some reviewers say get the second crew, skipped the first one. I didn't had a choice, I got the first crew as a gift and reading how it was popular and getting A+ reviews I didn't want to pass on Crew 2. So double-reviews here for both, A+ on both games. GET IT! You won't regret it.
Great game for the right group. I play this with people who really like puzzles and people who don't assign blame to themselves or others. Players who don't grasp how to approach the game can have a difficult time and feel like they let the group down. With the right group the game is fantastic.
This game gets many positive reviews, and once you play, it's easy to see why. There's a simple yet fun gameplay loop that makes for a fun experience as the table works together to solve each mission. It may take a little reading through the book, and a couple of rounds, but once you understand it then it can be played quickly. It seems light when you see it, and at its core isn't overly complex; however, this is a game that requires some thought as you play through. Our group only played the early stages and I can see how it would become more fun as the challenge increases. For the price you will get plenty of enjoyment and its well worth the addition to your collection.
This is a great follow up to the original! I must admit - I never played the original crew, but I did learn how to play and immediately went and ordered this sequel. Rather than specific tasks for each mission, there is a stack of task cards and each mission is given a difficulty. Tasks are drawn until the sum of the mission difficulty is drawn. Because of the large amount of task cards, playing through is different every time! Loads of fun!
We don’t play a lot of trick taking games although everytime we play a new one I’m a big fan. This is up there as one of my favorites, it’s a clever take of trick taking making it cooperative and with limited communication. Bit versions of the Crew are great but if you are going for one I’ll recommend you this one. It also works surprisingly well at 2p, which it was surprising.
It's The Crew but better. I don't think you need more information. If you love The Crew, you are going to LOVE the sequel. If you haven't played the OG Crew, play that first. This one has a lot more to keep track of, but man does it pay off! A blast in a tiny, affordable package. Buy it. Do it.
I got this game because it was like $10 and everyone says they like it but holy cow. It was way better than I expected. The first time I opened and played it we played for almost 2 hours straight. This is at a trick-taking game (think bridge or spades) but you work together to help certain players win (or not win) specific tricks. Very simple design but extremely fun. This belongs in everyone's collection.
