The TaylorMade Stealth Irons feature a Cap Back Design with toe wrap construction which expands the distance, forgiveness and feel of the original breakthrough technology. Golf is an interesting sport. The better you hit it, the fewer shots you take in a round, and the less you actually play golf. With the all-new Stealth irons, you can expect to play less golf, more often. The new-look Cap Back Design with toe wrap construction is engineered to improve face flexibility and deliver faster ball speeds. The multi-material design allows Stealth to eclipse the performance of traditional irons. Powered by the all-new Cap Back Design with toe wrap construction, Stealth irons feature an intelligently positioned sweet spot that spans the most common impact points, delivering enhanced forgiveness with explosive ball speeds. Hidden inside the Cap Back Design, the ECHO Damping System spans the full face from the heel to the toe and uses multiple contact points on the face to absorb unwanted vibrations, giving the Stealth iron a solid feel as the ball explodes off the club face. Taking mass from the toe and placing it in the sole lowers CG for increased launch angle and peak height, producing a towering ball flight, long carry distances and heavy stopping power. Fitted as standard with the Fujikura Ventus Red shaft that offers a lightweight design to help generate a more ball speed with a higher ball flight for improved approach shot control.

5i head came off

Bought these the beginning of the year I truly do love them coming from some rbz it’s my first true new set since playing for 12yrs and all I ever played is Taylormade but have had a problem with the 5i since getting them. It didn’t feel right when contact was made with the ball. Felt like it was hollow and the club head would turn. About 2 months into use the 5i head came off I’ve got it reset but it’s taken the confidence outta the irons. I think it might be happening to the 7i so I’m constantly going over my irons to make sure none are coming loose which I haven’t had to do with Taylormade before but I’m probably just worried and they’re really is nothing wrong but now it could effect my score at the end of the day with lack of confidence over the ball. I have been playing golf for about two years and after looking the irons on the market as well as talking with some of my friends I choice these irons and I am glad I did. I have played about 5 rounds with them and my iron play has never been better. The approach wedge has filled the gap in my bag but all the clubs fly higher and longer than my Wilson starter kit . I still have a lot to learn about golf but these clubs given me the tools to learn with because now I have the tools needed to hit a 200 yard 5 iron tee shot . I am not there yet but I am making some big steps in that direction. Also more of my approach shots are staying on the greens which has lower my scores and is very rewarding. I would buy these clubs again.

The Stealth irons are amazing! The feel, the forgiveness, the way the ball jumps off the face of the iron. Having said that, I am extremely frustrated that one week after receiving my first set of Stealth irons (June, 2022) one of the heads flew off during my swing. Less than three weeks another head flew off. I placed a call to customer service and was told that I should bring them to my local pro shop to have the rest of the checked and fixed if needed or I can place a warranty claim and send them back to be examined. I asked how long that would take and was told 4-6 weeks. I then asked what I was supposed to do in the meantime to which I was told I would have to get another set of clubs, either way I had to spend more money because the clubs I purchased were ... MoreThe Stealth irons are amazing! I chose to keep the clubs and see how it went. I ended up paying to have 7 of the 8 club heads glued back on. In February of 2023 I bought a second set of Stealth irons. I had a little better luck with these. The first head didn't fly off until August and then another one shortly after that. Again I called customer service. I was told again to fill out a warranty claim. This time I decided to do that. When I got to the end of the claim form I was asked to attach 4 pictures of the damaged club. At this point I had to stop because I didn't have any pictures. The next day I tried to attach the pictures but could not because the file was too big to send to Taylormade so I converted the pictures to PDF but Taylormade doesn't accept pdf's. I called customer service once again and apparently they are aware of this and the lady was sorry but I would need to go online and download an app so I could send the pictures. This was the last straw. I had been playing Taylormade for years but on that day I ordered a brand new set of Callaway irons. I believe Taylormade set up their warranty claim so that people like me would get frustrated and forget about it, well it worked.

Great clubs
29 July 2024

I got fitted for and bought these clubs about a year ago and am generally happy with them. They look and feel great, and I've had some good rounds with them. However, I was playing a set of Taylormade M4's before, and can't say that these clubs improved my game much from that set. I did shoot my lowest score ever with these clubs, but only once, so I feel that I was just playing great that day. I don't want to discourage anyone from buying them but if you have a decent set and are expecting huge improvements with these, it might not happen. If you don't have a decent set, then by all means, these are a great buy.

Impressive!

I decided to try these after seeing that they got the #1 game improvement iron two years in a row by My Golf Spy tests in 2022 and 2023. I demoed the 7 iron earlier this week at my local golf shop. Crazy long! Good shots were rolling out to 200 yards! I’m 50 years old with a moderate swing speed (~95 w/driver), so I was pleasantly surprised! What really sold me was the forgiveness on thin shots (my main miss). I ended up picking up a set today (6 iron - SW) from the golf superstore here in Huntsville, AL and got a chance to take them to the range. I got the lofts weakened by 2 degrees (except for AW weakened 1 degree and left SW stock) to have more height and better distance gaps for my bag. Anyway, I’m super excited to try them on the course this weekend! I already love my Stealth 2 driver and 3W, which I’ve had for a couple months. Great job Taylormade!

I wanted to try a set of irons with graphite shafts, and I love them!! The Taylormade stealth irons are excellent and I really like the Ventus Black shafts. These are very easy to hit and thankfully they are very forgiving!I have managed to get into the 80's with these. Not consistent, but several times. Since I've purchased these.I ordered these due to Dick’s low stock. The order was ready within g an hour!!I was in and out of the store with my irons in 5 minutes! They had the order waiting at the front desk.

Product description is accurate for the most part

The clubs are amazing! With that said, I ordered a set of clubs described as being in "Very good" condition. I'm not sure if I did a poor job of managing my expectations for the condition or if the description itself was slightly off. The clubs had noticeable surface scratching on the sole and the toe (on a few clubs) had slightly deeper grooves/scratches. This is all purely cosmetic damage and in no way impacts the performance, but it's still something to keep in mind. All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

Stealth too high
21 June 2023

Bought a set of Stealth irons with Kbs max 85 shafts, last summer. Was custom fitted. 1 deg flat and weak. After several many rounds, found the irons are not as long as advertised. Launches the ball to the stratosphere. Difficult to work right to left. No issues with a soft fade. Distance wise the 6 iron is longer than the 5 iron. Everything launches sky high. 20-30 yards shorter than my old set of Cally steelheads. I bought the Stealth set looking for a replacement for my AP1,s which had graphite shafts that were way too light. Not sure what the TM fitter was thinking. I was specifically looking for a lower flighted ball, due to playing in high winds, from the nearby lakes. Perhaps the shafts are too light. Strong lofts and shaft fitting issue
23 March 2024

I like the 7-AW stealth irons that I purchased, but when I was fitted the 7 iron trajectory was in the middle of the range for the shaft I was fitted in. Once the full set arrived, I found that I could not get the 5 and 6 irons aloft enough for even good shots to hold the greens where I play, which admittedly have some fast greens. After some research, it appeared that the combination of the stout shaft and the strong lofts of these clubs made it necessary to restart the 6 iron with a higher trajectory shaft, and basically take the 5 iron out of the bag. Also, the TM rep I chatted with online told me that I probably should have been fitted in a Ventus Red shaft, or a flex lighter. So a word of caution when you get fitted to look at the specs and check whether your ... MoreI like the 7-AW stealth irons that I purchased, but when I was fitted the 7 iron trajectory was in the middle of the range for the shaft I was fitted in. WOW!

I went down today to Edwin Watts to get a consultation/fitting as I have been getting shots that vary from draw to fade with my driver and irons (Callaway Big Bertha Fusion 5-PW) and my hybrids/3W. Turns out that the hook/pull-hook I am hitting with the hybrids/3W is probably related to my swing being too upright, not enough bend at the waist and is probably a subconscious thing to try and protect my lower back. The meat of the story is Brian handed me a Taylormade Stealth 7 iron, stiff flex, standard length/lie/grip and taped it up so I could hit it to compare to my Callaway Fusion. The Callaways were custom fit a LONG time ago to, I think, about 1 to 1.5 inches longer (I am 6'5") and a degree more upright for the lie.My best shot with the Callaway 7I was 135 ... MoreI went down today to Edwin Watts to get a consultation/fitting as I have been getting shots that vary from draw to fade with my driver and irons (Callaway Big Bertha Fusion 5-PW) and my hybrids/3W. I was completely shocked to hit shots that were averaging 25 to 30 yds further with the longest being almost 40yd further... with a 7 iron! And the shots felt so "sweet", the contact between the ball and the face... like a hot knife through melted butter.I have always like Taylormade drivers, woods and hybrids and you can now add irons to that list! That is just crazy what I saw and I am completely sold.
