The Housemaid by Freida McFadden 2023 - Little, Brown Book Group Limited

I discovered this book right after finishing Verity by Colleen Hoover and for me this was a perfect segue! Milli is a somewhat naive character in the beginning and even somewhat unlikeable at times due to her inactions. However, the twists and turns in this novel had me gobbling it down in a single day! Great twisted read and can’t wait for the sequel!

great quality. this is my first time buying reprints and im not disappointed. these types of books kasi can be finished in a day or two kaya not worth it to buy the original copy.only issue i had is yung words sa gilid ng some pages. you have to stretch the spine a little to read them pero not really a huge issue for me!

Suitability:REALLY GOOD!!I've never rated a product with a 5/5 star due to some reasons, however, this one is very good! The fonts are big, I can clearly read the words, ang ganda rin ng pagka-"package" ng librong 'to. I don't see a single problem (at least not yet) within this book, really. I would definitely order again in this shop.

This follows a young woman named Millie, who is on parole. Millie struggles with keeping a job, she sees an ad for a Housemaid and applies. Much to her surprise, she gets the job. She stays with family now living in the attic. She is shocked when she finds out it locks from the outside. This book was wild, was completely hooked from the first page, could not put it down

I’ve been on BookTok lately looking for some new book recommendations. I’m in my thriller book phase of reading right now and this has definitely lived up to the hype. If you liked Verity by Coleen Hoover, check this one out. I bought a bunch of Frieda McFadden thriller books after reading this one. She’s my new favorite thriller author. Can’t wait to read her other books!!

A really great read

I was hooked after the first page. My first time reading a book by the author and I am going to be looking for more books by her. I love that the ending was totally unexpected. The book took you on a roller coaster ride of emotions with one twist and turn after another. I could not put this book down and was sorry when it came to an end. Yes, Yes, Yes, well worth the read!!

Misprinted

Have had this book on my TBR list for a while. Got through the first 100 pages or so only to find that the book was misprinted and nearly 100 pages were missing, while other pages were duplicated. Recomendation - buy in store, not online, and review the book before purchasing. Seems like the print company messed up multiple copies that are being sold at Target, Amazon, and other large retailers.

Winner by a modern master

For readers who love Rendell and/or Highsmith, Freida McFadden is a very welcome and admirable newer voice. I have now read 4 of her thrillers, and plan to collect the others soon. She pulls the reader in with the first paragraphs, and it's hard to put the book down after that! I stayed up until 3 AM to finish a couple of Freida's books and that's not my typical schedule! Psychological mysteries with unexpected plot twists are this author's specialty, and in this she is a modern master. Highest possible recommendation!
