It is a lot of money for such a small tool. Nothing really to complain about otherwise. It looks great and has held up well in the first few weeks of owning it.

If you appreciate details and materials, you’ll love this and I assume other James products as well. Replaced a similarly priced multi tool that I had that just… didn’t feel very nice. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Great design, but...

I got the plain titanium version of the Halifax for Christmas and was overall very happy the product. First off, it looks great. One thing you can't fault TJB for is their design ethic in general and this is no exception. Secondly, the Halifax is very light indeed and won't make an impact on your pocket. Having said that it is smaller in the hand, or pocket, than you might think. I got mine with an Ulu for a better carry and you might want to consider a similar lanyard or keychain hook-up to do the same. I imagine this little friend could be easy to lose.Third, it is one of the those gadgets that you'll find you use if you have it on you. I've used mine for scraping and cap lifting so far and no complaints - it does the job you'd expect. As I said it's a small, light product and I'm not sure it's up for heavy duty use in that regard. It scrapes just fine.Fourth, the 'Phillips head' aspect isn't an actual crosshead Phillips design, as is clear from the pictures on the site, but should work in the way you can sometimes use a flathead as a Phillips. However, first time I tried it on a crosshead screw it categorically didn't fit.My reservation with this product is that, except for the cap lifter, all the functions are located in the one tool at the end, which might come in for a bit of a battering as a result. Time will tell.Overall, a beautifully designed, discreet and elegant carry that's function for light use. But get a lanyard or something else to attach, otherwise you might not own it for long.

Great little tool
7 April 2021

This tool is great to have on your key chain to ensure you have quick tools to get a job done. I had the Leatherman Brewzer on my key chain and I do like the Halifax capability as a philips and flathead screwdriver. The bottle opener works better too in the Halifax. It is lightweight and larger in the hand to get more leverage to open a bottle. The price tag is 4x's more than the Brewzer, which is the only draw back and would make me hesitate just a little to recommend the product fully - but on it's own the Halifax is a great keychain tool to carry with you when your EDC is just a one-bladed knife.

Looks Cool, Works Ok
5 January 2023

I love the look and feel and the size is perfect. However really disappointed in the bottle opener functionality. The custom machined billet really needs larger steps in order to easily grab the bottle caps with the pry motion. I often have to take 2 or 3 passes and go slow just to make sure the cap is grabbed by the opener. Have tried multiple other keychain opened and this was by far the worst. Was really pumped about this, but let down. Let me know if can buy a larger billet or if a new model is in the works.

Perfect gift for co workers

I have one of my own and always get compliments. So I decided to get a couple for my coworkers. They were really happy with the gift and I would recommend it for anyone looking for something different to get as a gift.

Replaced a multi-tool on my keychain
19 July 2022

This little guy is great. I do wish it had a little semi-sharpened (but not blade sharp) notch on the inside of the can-opener indent to use for easily opening boxes, tearing lightweight materials like cloth, etc. That would round out my use case very nicely. I'd also really like if the documentation could describe whether the tool is suitable to be used laterally (eg, to pry a stuck door open, etc.) or if it will bend/break from this type of usage. I'd rather not test it out myself :)

Small and simple. I like it.
24 May 2021

Small and unapologetically simple. It is what it is with no apologies.Feels good on my Midland and doesn’t poke me in my leg. Bottle opener is the only “meh” since it is so thin. I prefer the opener on the Midland as it is thicker but this worked when I tried it so no points off.Cutting boxes open is simple and I totally ripped a .22LR casing out of my Glock 44 that stove-piped on me at the range over the weekend. It’s small enough to be not be intrusive but there when you need it. Like it.

Super handy
23 February 2023

Great quality. Good heft to it. The screwdriver works great and I've already used it several times. I do wish the circle loop had other uses attached to it. But aesthetically it's very pleasing. Love the detail of the bottle opener. It's too bad after 3 days I lost it somewhere during work. That's my fault. Loved it while it lasted though.
