The Jojoba Company - Hydrating Day Cream 50ml

I have very difficult skin - acne prone, sensitive, dry, hormonal with eczema in the mix as well. Skin care is a delicate balancing act for me. I received a sample size of this and I tried it assuming I’d have a break out or reaction and I didn’t. In fact my skin looked better! I don’t love the smell, but it isn’t strong and it disappears once rubbed in. It is a little thin so do be careful when squeezing some out as it can come out quickly and a little goes a long way! I only need about a dry lentil sized amount. It is a great moisturiser and I’ve already got a full sized one sitting in my cart for when the sample runs out.

Best at this price

Look, I agree with everyone else. It smells a bit funky. But I'd rather that and the product be really effective (which it is) than it be overpowered by essential oils. It's so rare to find a moisturiser at this price with a high content of ceramides AND it doesn't have comedogenic ingredients. I've been buying Elta MD from the US as an alternative to something like Skinceuticals (super $$) and Cerave (clogging), and most other products in Aus that have ceramides are in ineffective quantities. This is a HG product, makes skin look plump and improves texture. Hope it never gets discontinued.

Disappointed

Of the 3 different Jojoba company products ordered, this was the only one to disappoint (and regretfully I purchased 2 of these).I really wanted to like this cream as it contained all the ingredients I was looking for to hydrate and protect my aging skin.I do like the texture and the feel of this product on my skin, but unfortunately the smell of this cream is actually quite offensive and reminds me of something between burned rubber and bad foot odour (definitely not pleasant).For this reason, I would not repurchase this product.I love both the ultimate Youth Serum & the Ultimate Youth Potion +L22 which both feel and smell deliteful!

Love these products

This is the second time I have bought this item and I just love it. It is great that it is in a tube, which at first I thought iwould not last as long as in a jar, but I am still using the first one which has outlasted a jar. It also makes it great for travelling. My skin is great bare but i the hydrating peptide cream is also perfect under makeup.Well done Jojoba your products are effective and at an affordable price. You’ve certainly won me over.

Love this product !!

I am very happy with my day cream , my skin is saying thankyou. I wish I had taken before and after pics as I am sure that since I have started using this product in conjunction with the eye serum and night cream, skin is firmer, feels tighter and smoother, only downer is I have run out of youth oil !! At 62 years of age and having been a dedicated believer of skin care since a young age and sick of paying exorbitantly priced skincare, I am one very happy customer!!!!!

My favourite AM moisturiser!

I don't think there's another moisturiser out there that beats this one! I have normal/oily skin and my skin absolutely drinks this moisturiser up. It's not at all greasy/oily, nor does it just sit atop the skin feeling heavy - nope! It absorbs wonderfully into the skin, and it's also not too thin or too thick - a great consistency and very easy to blend onto the face. Might I just add the scent is so beautiful and not at all overpowering or artificial smelling, which is what I like when I'm applying skin care. I think I'm onto my fourth bottle now, but I would absolutely love if this moisturiser came in a larger size (because I go through this quite quickly!!!). Please consider this!I loooovee <3

Not good for dry climates

I’m a HUGE fan of the other day cream ‘The Ultimate Day Cream’. It has an incredible formula that protects you from the drying elements. THIS cream, however, is NOT good in dry climates. It incorporates hyaluronic acid which leeches water. In humid climates, it will perch water from the atmosphere and make your skin moisturised. In dry climates it will actually leech water FROM your skin. I think that’s why a lot of people have found it drying. I certainly have.But like I said, the other day cream by this brand is literally a HOLY GRAIL PRODUCT.

Not sure!

Unfortunately once again my product has a strange scent. Not like all my previous purchases, I love the Jojoba range, however I've now had 2 products that don't smell right. It's thrown me, as I've always strongly recommended Jojoba. Disappointed.

Sadly disappointed

I was so excited to try this cream after using other products and loving them! Sadly do not love this one.My skin feels drier after applying this Hydrating cream, I have used the oils underneath but as soon as I put this on my skin drys up and feels tight, I am even getting dry spots which I never get! It has an awful smokey smell to it! I think I got a dud 😔

Skin breakout

When I received this cream I got surprised by the smell. I feel it smells like an expired cream. I wrote a message regarding this to the team.But the worse part for me are the skin breakout it created on my nose and chin. And my overall skin has become rough. I went back to the previous cream (the light one) which suits me much better and hopefully in a few days my skin will get back to normal.This cream is not adapted to my dry skin but this is my own experience, I hope you get a better one!
