I had been wanting to read this novel for a long time. When I saw the deal I could get at Walmart, I jumped at it and bought the book. I am glad I got it when I did because now the novel is a movie! The characters are well thought out, the action keeps the story moving. I am so glad I bought the novel. I was able to buy a used copy of the book, but you would never know it was used! It is in excellent condition with the cover intact and all pages. For $6-7, it was a fabulous buy!! You won't be disappointed in the novel, or buying a used copy of the novel through Walmart.

This book had me from the first chapter to the last sentence, very interesting. Very well written and a beautiful story. It had me smiling, angry then crying all at once. Showing the devotion of a father. Definitely recommend this one to friends and family.
Protect her. That’s the last note Owen Michaels has for his wife, Hannah. This thriller was WILD!!! Technically this book was classified as thriller but it may have actually been closer to mystery? Maybe that’s just my opinion. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough on this one. The author weaved an intricate story of deception that had me hooked. Not everyone is as they seem to be, everyone has secrets, and someone is lying....but who? I highly recommend this one if you’re looking for a fast paced and heart pumping book!
I was prepared to give this book 3 stars. The writing was mediocre, it wasn't suspenseful, and the characters were dull. The middle to ending is what makes it a 1 star book at best. Despite a U.S. Marshall telling her to lay low, Hannah leaves $60k under the sink and drags her stepdaughter to Austin based on a memory of being in a stadium where the team wears orange. Fast forward through all the epiphanies they have about Hannah's husband/Bailey's father, they do some incredible research and *boom* within 2 days they put the pieces mostly together. And once again, despite U.S. Marshall telling her that 1) Bailey's grandfather is a dangerous man (with friends), and 2) they could all be back in the witness protection program and eventually reunited with Owen, Hannah ... Does the author expect her readers to believe all is peaceful and normal again? Even though Hannah knows they're being watched? Tell me how this is best for Bailey? This book was terrible. I can't wait to not watch the mini-series.

I found this generally well written, interesting plot. The writer just manages to keep the readers' interest as the story unfolds, it does tend to drag a bit. The ending could have been better if it included some more climax or intrigue. While reading the book, it feels that at some point you would be amazed but it never happens. Nothing happens to really challenge you.
Terrible story and character development. I don’t understand why so many people enjoy this book. Oh I know. It’s because it has Reese Witherspoon’s endorsement therefore people think they are supposed to like it. Don’t waste your time.
I’m finding this book to be SO SLOW it’s taking me forever to get through it. I keep wanting to just stop reading it. I never write reviews….I stopped reading to reread reviews and decided to write one myself. I don’t know if I should stick it out.. skip a few chapters or go straight to the end.. I’m literally half way through pg 147.
