I was easily absorbed within my first few hours into the game that I lost track of time, which might serve as a warning to others who are considering playing the game as well. Amazing game play

I recently picked up the Nintendo Switch game Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from Walmart, and I must say, it did not disappoint. The immersive world, captivating storyline, and stunning graphics make this game a true masterpiece. The gameplay mechanics are smooth, and the puzzles are challenging yet satisfying to solve. If you're a fan of the Zelda franchise, Tears of the Kingdom is an absolute must-have. Truly worth every penny!

Better than BOTW

Being 100% honest here. (I've got it digitally if that matters.)The game is good, but I have some nitpicks with it.- Ultrahand, one of the abilities, feels a bit wonky to work. It's fine, works great, but I think personally the rotating could be a bit better, and faster tbh.- The new menus? Amazing, but it's so hard to tell what is where because the icons are almost as white as the background.- When you land in Hyrule, it just feels.... a bit empty? I don't know how to explain it.- They also patched whistle sprinting

Let's begin by addressing the elephant in the room. This game pushes the Switch to the limit. There are times you'll get frame rate drops in certain zones similar to breath of the wild (think location of master sword previously) .. and ultra hand ability also causes some frame rate issues. This is a thing that will probably bug you at times. However I pushed along and kept playing.Let's move onto the rest. Overall this game is a sequel done right. A near impossible task. If you think the game is simply a reused map, you're completely wrong. They managed to revamp the original map.. then multiplied its size by.. let's say about 2.5 times. I would say so far they gave a temple experience better than divine beasts, and still under the old school traditional layout of a temple. Overall though well done and the boss fight was fun. Was it easy? Mostly yeah, but I had fun. Most boss fights in Zelda games are relatively easy, it's the fun factor I look for and this particular one did it for me.Shrines return, they are not a negative experience for me, happy with them. Some are pretty dang cool and teach you some fun building ideas you can use in the world.Some enemies return. I spoiled for myself one I haven't seen yet. This has been very welcome. Happy to see them.Musical score is so well done. Yes a lot of reused, but also a lot of things that intertwine classic Zelda with that orchestra sound. I've been enjoying it. They really know how to make you feel with the music.. example, there is a random enemy you're going to encounter that visually is scary.. but the music adds to the layer of terror as you try to run without being grabbed and tossed and ... You'll seeVoice acting is what you'd expect. I forgive Nintendo on this front. I honestly am shocked they even tried in BOTW, I'm happy to let them keep trying in totk. . My cousin does Japanese voices with English sub to solve her issue with it. It doesn't bug me.The item combinations and uses with weapons... Feels like most things have a use and worth collecting. You can even attach a piece of meat to an arrow and slap an enemy in the face with a meat arrow. I'm all for this level of freedom. So good.There's so much more to this game than BOTW. If you loved BOTW you'll love this. If you hated BOTW, it's likely going to be a pass for you. But coming from a Zelda fan that grew up on Ocarina of Time, it's a great game that the child in me is enjoying thoroughly and it's nice to have games have enough magic to grip my attention and want to share experiences with my wife as she plays Valheim. Lol.

How did they do this??

Note: If you didnt enjoy Breath of the Wild you are probably not going to enjoy this game as it is a direct sequel...As a big fan of Breath of the Wild I went into this game thinking it would be probably as good but with less impact... Happily I was mistaken. Somehow Nintendo have managed to make one of the greatest games ever made, even better. Dont be fooled into thinking its the same map and same enemies because this is not correct. Same Hyrule but so much has changed and has expanded to be at least 2x the size. Enemies have also been expanded on greatly. Havent even mentioned all the new mechanics that literally let you play how you want and create what you want. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

It's a slightly overpriced game

I'm a Zelda fan and I preferred Breath of The Wild over this. It's the same world, with not that many new additions and they once again abandoned the story in favour of gameplay (gameplay which might not appeal to everyone, such as building.)Also, the story is disjointed and you have to collect it in random order so bear in mind you will be spoiled of key plot points and the emotional impact of the game will diminish.In short: Not for story enjoyers, but for gameplay enjoyers. Especially if you like Minecraft.

Unbelievably amazing. Top 3 games of all time

Get your STEM brains ready. This game has mechanics that engineers go wild for. You can build insane wild contraptions and your gamer-brain will thank you for it. It's so good it should be used in classrooms as a teaching tool for science, tech and simple machines exploration.Ignore the bob555 review. They even claimed to be a Walmart associate. The whole 1 star review is a lie. Please report it.

Months of anticipation and was not disappointed. Love how it resembles its sequel yet is has so much more built upon it, I was especially excited about the the sky and underground biomes. The story goes into so much more depth and feels a lot more engaging and the new characters designs and armour stuff is so goooood. Gameplay and graphics are gorgeous, (especially the sunsets they’re very pretty :D ). Don’t even get me started on the music it is simply stunning wouldn’t change a thing. I love the fact that (if you played BOTW) you can ride through the map and recognise a lot of the places even though they have changed quite a lot, other places are unrecognisable and are really fun to explore. The coin was a nice surprise and it looks so cool. I especially love the pins, they look and feel great, I also can’t wait to find out what each of them means and how they tie into the game.So glad I got this game after waiting so long, it certainly surpassed my expectations, couldn’t be happier with this purchase :D
