To the Gregg family, hunting is just plain fun. To the girl who lives next door, it's just plain horrible. She tries to be polite. She tries to talk them out of it, but the Greggs only laugh at her. Then one day the Greggs go too far, and the little girl turns her Magic Finger on them. When she's very, very angry, the little girl's Magic Finger takes over. She didn't know how she do it but it always happens when she get cross. At that time suddenly, a quick flash comes out of her, like something electric. It touches the person who made her cross.I like the girl because she helped Mr. Gregg and his family understand that hunting is bad. Even animals have right to live as humans. This is my favourite part of the book. The story also has a moral that kindness should be the number one attribute in a human being.
