Great looking jacket perfect for everyday use during the colder months. The material is a lot more heavy duty than jackets from other brands that feel like they will rip very easily, also this has a heavy duty zipper. The only downsides are that it doesn't have any type of fleece lining in the pockets for hand warmers or around the collar, so doesn't feel as warm as my very similar 700 fill Marmot jacket.

A classic. Can't go wrong. I see some comments saying the newer ones are 'flat' but I suspect this was a judgement made straight out of the box. Throw it in the tumble drier on low heat if it arrives a little flat, with some tennis balls, and you'll look like the Michelin man in no time đź’Ş same goes if you wear it in the rain (but it's not waterproof so don't do it too regularly)

I have a North Face 700 down winter jacket like this (different color) that I bought in 2000. It has given me a lot of warmth on extreme cold winter days. I washed it (as directed by North Face website) several years ago and it just never was the same again with the down. So started looking around before cold weather arrives to find a new jacket. Problem is that many companies stopped making the 700 down and are selling only 550 down (which I have and does not keep me warm like the 700 down). So did a search and found that North Face brought back the Retro Nuptse with 700 down..ordering it now... Best winter jacket I've ever owned.

Like the softness of jacket. My fit is M but I purchased L size. It looks great if you are not that slim like fashion models.
North face is known for making some of the best jackets known to street wear. This ones very similar to a potato sack. This coat lacks many of the brands known visual appeals and although made for men I think its more even for women because of the fit. It?s also missing the nylon coating? Even though, it?s a warm jacket that hugs the body. If you?re thinking of buying this, you should
I absolutely love this jacket, it fits PERFECTLY and looks amazing. It has a slight cropped design (not too much) which looks stylish and allows me to pair it with hoodies, sweatshirts and other tops really well. The arm length also fits perfectly. The jacket keeps me really warm and feels so comfortable which is great for British weather which tends to be unpredictable. The pockets are perfectly sized and allow you to put your hands in to keep them warm if it gets too cold. The hidden hood which can be concealed and removed is one of the best features as it protects you from the rain/weather but doesn't stick out and ruin the design. The jacket's unique design is INSTANTLY recognisable and exudes style. The coat looks great. I was after this specific one from north face because it has the puffy 90's appearance with the strong logo on back & front. Although its made from down its not warm enough by itself for winter which i found a bit disappointing, im sure my previous one was warmer on its own. Kind of defeats the purpose of buying it if you still need to boost it with multiple layers. Sizes also run smaller than normal so id upgrade to XL if you fit medium/large usually
I would have liked this jacket to be good. It’s stylish with nice color schemes, has deep pockets, and is fairly warm. But the sleeves are too short (even in Large when I normally wear Medium in North Face coats), the hem is too high, and the “hood” is simply a piece of nylon that unfolds out of the collar. For that reason alone, this coat is strictly a shoulder season (Spring/Fall) coat. The hood is a nice sun protector but you’ll need a warm hat in Winter. A disappointing coat.
I received this a few days ago and it is true to size XS. I was afraid this jacket would look a little too puffy but it looks great. I love how the hood can be easily hidden when it’s not raining. So far I’ve used it in light to normal rain and it’s managed to not soak through, it also dries very quick when hung up inside. I was surprised by how warm the jacket is it’s -1 degrees at the moment and this jacket is perfect for the cold whether. The pockets are spacious and secure also.
I bought the Nuptse Cone orange and let me tell you it turns heads when i'm out and about. Maybe its the vibrant colour or the fact it looks like money. Whatever it may be , i like it!*Improvments*Could add a fleece lining with a north face logo pattern would be cool. Call it the Artic addition.
