This is my first North Face product. My husband, who's from Alaska, insisted I find a down jacket so I wouldn't be miserable in the cold when I visited my in-laws. After a lot of research, I decided on this jacket because of price point. All other brands with similar jackets were slightly more expensive, and with the 10% discount I got for being a first time customer, it was a good price. The reviews on sizing had me confused but I decided to get a size M as I tend to be cold and usually layer. The jacket fit perfectly. But with this jacket, I could wear my usual clothes without looking like a clumsy baby penguin with all my layers.

I bought this as a present for my self and from day one of wearing it I've constantly had feathers coming out left right and centre. The quality isn't very good. I wouldn't recommend buying this

The jacket is soft and a beautiful/unique color, but it has feathers inside that keep coming out. I haven?t even washed the jacket yet. People point out that I have a feather left on my shirt after taking off the jacket. Especially on the outside, it has little spots of discoloration where feathers are poking out. I had no intention of returning this jacket, so I didn?t keep any of the tags. I thought for $160 and the Northface brand, that quality would not be a concern. Backcountry could only offer me a store credit if I returned the product. I would recommend a different jacket and a different website.

Great looking, versatile jacket. So far very warm, however I am not sure how long this puffer is supposed to stay warm as I already see a bit of feathers coming out. Overall for the price I paid, I am happy with it.
I loved this jacket, it's blue/Silver color and it's warmth. It was 10 degrees when I first got it, and I never felt the cold! Unfortunately I had an accident 6 yrs ago and I now only have use of my right arm. Even though I ordered it plenty big I can't zip it up with one hand so I had to put it on over my head. The coat with a hood was somewhat difficult to do that, so I had to send it back. I am hoping to order another North Face jacket with some Christmas Money I received!
I bought this to go under a waterproof jacket of the same brand and colour and they work well together. Very pleased - fits well and is nice and warm. Ideally would have liked an internal pocket of some sort but that’s not a deal breaker!
This jacket is so nice and cozy and keeps me warm in the PNW on hikes and in the winter. I will probably wear it in fall and spring as well because it isn’t too heavy and bulky. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because quite a bit of feathers are popping out. I hope it lasts throughout the years, this is my first north face and I don’t know if feathers falling out is “normal”.
This is officially my go-to jacket for running to class, walking campus and watching Spartan Nation lose their minds over every football game. College in Michigan is about 75% winter, which is annoying and choosing the right jacket is even worse. It's lightweight enough to throw in my backpack when second fall or third spring hit and it's too hot to wear in the afternoons, but the mornings are frigid! The material is perfect too and doesn't rub with my backpack!
I love how the sleeves are just right for me and not long. Just the right length. The bodice is the right length. The jacket is light weight, I don't see this as a really cold jacket when it's freezing outside. It does well keeping me warm in slightly cooler temperatures. The jacket isn't too puffy, right amount of puff for this jacket.
I live in Alaska and we already have record snowfall. This coat is extremely warm, waterproof, and dries quickly. . I plan on buying a smaller size for my daughter to have one also.
