The North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag - XS - TNF Red/TNF Black/NPF

A great sturdy bag for small trips or suitcase free travel. Love the handles and backpack straps, which makes this bag awesome to travel with. My only issue with it is the very thick and rigid waterproof coating that makes it near impossible to zip when full. The zipper is so stiff that I wonder if this will eventually tear the zip. Hopefully the bag will soften with age and use.

Considering getting this in every size!

The XS duffel is the perfect size for a gym bag or a 1-4 day trip. It's super durable, and the inner pocket helps me keep organized. I feel like I could throw this bag around and not worry at all about damaging it. The only features I wish were different; The zipper is stiff and I find it hard to zip around the corners (I'm hoping this gets easier as it breaks in), and I wish there was a shoulder strap attachment like the larger sizes. The backpack straps are nice, but when I wear a regular backpack and just want to keep this on my shoulder, the straps slide off.

Definitely would buy this again!

This is the perfect bag for the gym. The backpack straps are comfortable and helpful when riding my bike. It is compact enough to fit in the locker yet spacious enough to holds shower shoes, trainers, gym clothes and a water bottle with room to spare. The zipper net in the lid is helpful to isolate your phone, wallet, swim goggles and toiletries. The outside pocket is perfect for easy access to your keys etc. The fabric is the same as my medium base camp duffle and base camp travel canister, so it is durable and looks fantastic.

Great bag, great experience

I used this bag for traveling through a few flights. I picked this size specifically because it's perfect for carry on luggage on planes. I can fit a ton of clothes on there, toothbrush and other things of that nature. The multiple handles on the sides make it easy to carry however you want. The backpack straps I have came in clutch, and are very comfortable. The build quality seems superb, I have no doubt in my mind this bag will last me forever. I'd recommend if you're looking for a smaller bag to bring with you on trips or weekend getaways.

Great duffel, multipurpose

Needed a backpack style duffel as I started walking to the gym. Perfect size for the gym, and holds all of my powerlifting equipment, including my belt. The small pockets also help to keep smaller things organized, like wrist wraps, chalk, etc. Feels rugged and durable, a little overkill for the gym, but it can be multipurpose for camping and travel as well. The backpack straps are comfortable on the shoulders, and work well for the 30min walk. Love this bag, and was glad I snagged the taupe green colorway, I think it’s the most neutral and the logo isn’t obnoxiously loud being black against the taupe.

Gym bag review

After my old gym bag duffle fell apart, I wanted to invest in a solid new one to last. I researched a few different options and read many reviews. Looks - this bad is 5/5 great look. Functionality - 5/5 perfect size for all my belts, straps, chalk, bottles, chains, whips etc without being too unwieldy. Price - 4/5 I say 4 because the closest competition I was considering was about $20 less, but hopefully this will outlast. Maintenance - 5/5 so far, the easy to clean material is nice for someone who uses chalk and spills drinks often.Misc: The top zippers can be tougher to pull unless pulled from a certain angle. Lastly, I read one review that gave me pause because they mentioned it was hard to use the included handles over the shoulder. I do in fact agree with that, I am not a fan of the backpack handles at all, so I removed them and fastened the shoulder strap from my old duffle instead. No complaints now, but maybe NF can add an optional shoulder strap.

I lost count count on my TNF Duffels col

This time it’s TNF xs 31 litter duffel. It’s a phenomenal, wonderful, durable duffel. I am a huge Northface duffel collector. These duffels I trusted and reliable companion, and will not disappoint. They come in all sizes and colors and the price you pay for him is absolutely worth it. I’ve had North and Stafford since 2015 and I will probably have more this decade. If you’re looking for a great 31 L duffel bag this TNFXS will be ideal for what you need. I wish everyone health and happiness. Have fun on your next adventure!

Perfect size, not great strap design.

This bag fits under airline seats if you don't fill it all the way. So if you're going somewhere where you need another decent sized backpack but don't want it to count as your carry on item - this is great. I've given this bag 4/5 but really it should be 3.5/5 for two reasons:1. They call this a duffel but there's no shoulder strap. They expect you to grab the backpack straps together as a handle and call that a duffel. IMO that's not a duffel. My solution to this was to buy a shoulder strap from Amazon and attach it to the accessory/carabiner spots on the sides. Works great.2. The backpack straps don't stow away, and the straps themselves aren't quick-release. The perfect carry on!

I love this bag!I have been looking for a weekend bag which is large enough for all my stuff as a chronic over-packer but small enough to use as hand luggage on short haul flights. Having seen the larger sizes of the base camp duffel around, I thought I would give the XS a try and it does not disappoint! The bag itself is very durable and easy to organise - I love the fact that it opens up fully like a duffel but you can wear it as a backpack. The straps are also surprisingly comfortable, even after a full travel day.I've recommended this bag to my friends and family and have already had several friends purchase one of their own - it is a real must have. I also love the lavender colour, it is very easily identifiable!

The quality is unbeatable. The logo could come off.

The quality is unbeatable making it hard and difficult to break. However, the logo is just glued on. So it could eventually tear off. I have other TNF bags and they come printed on the material. The truth is that since TNF use thermoplastic to create logos on clothing and other items, it leaves a lot to be desired.
