A great shoe that exceeded my expectations!

I bought the VECTIV Infinite 2 Futurelight shoes for cold weather running in snow and rain, largely because of the built-in gaiter. Since our winter in my region has been remarkably mild, I have not had the chance to run in the sloppy conditions I expected, but enough snow and wet to know they perform admirably. I had not run in any shoes with a plate before the Infinite 2, and I have enjoyed them very much. The feel is firm yet comfortable, and I attribute that to the plate being near the sole of my foot and ample cushioning. I have three trail running shoes I rotate, and I find myself grabbing the Infinite 2 more and more frequently. I am planning to buy a carbon plate shoe for my race and to rotate in for training runs, and after such a positive experience with North Face, I am strongly considering the Summit Sky or Pro shoes. Also, the traction with the Infinite 2 is spectacular. The fit was true to size, and I have enjoyed running in the Infinite 2!

Awesome

I've been a TNF Trail running convert since the original Infinite came out. This is an upgrade from the original in every way, turning what was in my opinion a great shoe into a market-leader for its price category. The lugs are deeper than before, so they won't wear down as quickly and are nice and responsive in slimy mud. There's also increased midsole support around the heel for a more supported heel-strike on the down-hill which is a big plus. This is a top contender for the best trail shoe which performing well in UK trail conditions. And the bonus is it looks great for the after-run coffee stop. 10/10

Good shoe, need to use it on hard trails first, quite larger

Awesome shoe. This is my first trail running shoe from TNF.It is really waterproof and feels very weel, but I will need to test it on hard trail and snow first.I always buy size 10US and with this shoe seems to be larger (personal opinion), probably 9.5 US will be perfect.

Great shoes

So comfy for long walks. I am a letter carrier and walk an average of 20kms a day; these have held up well the past 350 kms when other shoes would have developed holes in the toe area. Haven’t experienced any discomfort! Liked these so much that I bought another pair for when my current ones wear out. Another added bonus is the hi-vis colour that goes well with my uniform.

I keep reaching for these.
16 August 2021

I'm a bit of a gear-junkie. Admittedly my shoe collection is pretty extensive. The marketing got me with these, but the overall feel of the shoe really hooked me. While I have a few pair of trail shoes in the rotation, something about how smooth these are really keeps me reaching for these most days of the week. I've done anything from steep hill workouts to long, slow mountain adventures in them with no major issues. The heel colar keeps debris out pretty well, but if I wear a low cut sock, I notice a little rubbing on the ankle. The slight roll the Infinite has really feels fluid. I tried the Enduris but think it felt off-weighted missed the mark for my preferences, but I think the upgrade to the Infinite is more than worth the extra investment. Way lighter and super durable, the upper just gets softer and comfortable with more use, and they look awesome with dirt and mud on them. One of the laces is longer than the other though, which a weird detail that throws me off every time I lace it up. But otherwise I couldn't be happier with TNF's reintro to the performance trail world.

My Go-To
13 June 2022

Purchased a pair of these about 100miles into my '21 At thruhike. The store only had men's, so that's what I bought, which is why I believe I had some rubbing on the inside of my foot when breaking in (I am a woman and do not have wide feet). Once I got the right lace up for my feet with the shoe, these were the absolute best shoe for me. Rode the first pair for 1k miles and took my second pair the remaining 1k miles. Most comfortable trail runner and wouldn't hike in anything else. A little light in protection on the toe and inside of foot, so expect some kicked rocks and roots to hurt, but worth it in my opinion. Could obviously have replaced sooner for a little less wear and tear, but Hiker Trash is as Hiker Trash does.

My new go-to shoe for the trails
29 August 2023

This is my first time trying a North Face Trail Running Shoe. I have always been a dedicated fan of TNF when it comes to hiking and winter clothing, so it was a natural choice to also give their footwear a try and I must say, they have aced this as well. Solid construction, rugged good looks and superb performance, especially with the stabilized heel and midfoot, deep grippy lugs and rockered toe for effortless forward momentum!!

Really like these with a couple key improvements
19 April 2022

I have both the Vectiv Enduris and Infinite both have their pros/cons. These shoes have a great fit and wider toe box, Drop and midsole are great. The Upper is durable and looks new forever even in white. I've run just about everything in them up to a 50k trail/mountain race. They are really stable running down technical trails. My biggest gripe is the collar is so minimal it just invites rocks into your shoes This is almost a dealbreaker for the kind of terrain I run on. The outsole is grippy but at the expense of durability and wears down pretty fast.

Sweet kicks
22 February 2023

Love my new Infinite II - the rocker suits my feet well and I rate the quite sticky outersole. I would warn not to wear these too much on road because the rubber compound is rather soft, but this works to the shoe's benefit when on trails (where they are designed to be anyway). Laces never come undone and the longer heel tab makes it super easy to pull these on. Colours are fresh and look great, which to me is an added benefit. Looking forward to adding many more miles on these before buying my second pair!

Wow they feel great
30 July 2022

I purchased last season's style of this shoe. The colors are different but everything else remains the same. I was reluctant even then because I thought they looked a bit loud, this season's color scheme is even crazier. With that being said, once they were on my feet I was sold. Whoever thought to build a slope into these shoes was a genius. They literally make you WANT to get up and move. After an exhausting day of at the office, something as simple as going to the store, which would normally elicit a groan, feels good in these shoes. When I first saw them, I thought to myself, "what was North Face thinking", but here we are.
