From The North Face description of this jacket:- 'Waterproof fabric provides an impenetrable moisture barrier for guaranteed dryness.' I'm sorry Very, I have to show just how wet my T-shirt was after a 20 minutes walk last night. The first time use in rain and my 2nd time of wearing the jacket. Yes, I was soaked through and yes I could feel the wind blowing through the cold wet jacket... This was meant to have been my 'new everyday jacket'. Total Fail...

This is a good light and breathable jacket that I needed being in a coastal area and when hiking. The jacket as stated by others runs really big. I am usually an XXL, however had to get a Large for it to be a nice fit. There is also no inside pockets, just the two on the outside. When on offer for £50, it's worth the price.

Bought this jacket just before it started becoming rainy and it has kept me warm and dry while walking back home in the rain and also, the jacket dries really quickly too! It definitely keeps you protected from the wind too. I would say the small is a bit too small for me but the medium would have been too big - for reference I am petite with a bigger chest and weigh around 50kg.

My partner had the mens version of this jacket. I wore it a few times and it was great, light weight but also shields you from a cold wind. So I decided to buy the womens version which offers the same benefits, but I sized up (usually a s but got a m) as I liked the loose fitting. While I am going to keep my purchase, it is very baggy and loose up top, but the bottom of the jacket is much more tight than I had expected, so if you are more of a pear shape you probably would want to buy the mens version. Once zipped up there is little room to pull it down over your bottom. In hindsight I would have bought mens xs or s.
Bought this as needed a thinner jacket for autumn. Got an xxl at first but was too big so sent back and got xl. Fits great the xl, I like the hood as has bit that makes it more stable when you have it up when it ls raining and it's waterproof. Has 2 big pockets but no inside pocket. Good for going about in when the weather isn't that cold. Wouldn't be suitable for winter but have a winter jacket already
Owned this jacket nearly a year. Worn it hiking in Sweden & Norway, the Lake District and the Brecon Beacons and it's been great on all of these trips. The Hyvent fabric is very waterproof and is breathable to some extent. Packs down very small. The green looks a bit garish in the website pictures but looks nice in real life, particularly when worn with black. The fit is very good. I have quite broad shoulders and a smaller waist and often find that garments big enough for my shoulders are too big in the body, but this jacket is nicely tapered.I would have preferred adjustable cuffs (which you get on the higher end jackets) rather than elasticated ones here. For the price though it's a great jacket despite these gripes.
The jacket itself is very nice but within my first week of owning it I got a mark on the front. I used clean and non abrasive sponge to wipe this off and now the area where I wiped has lost its hydrophobicity and it becomes quickly saturated when out in the rain. It's disappointing that it's not more hardwearing. I wouldn't buy it again.
Been using this for the last few weeks mostly in light drizzle and have no problem. Best experience was last week. Was queuing in heavy rain for about 30 min and then a 15 min walk to work. Got to work and was bone try (apart from my legs). Also this not a foldable jacket however I roll it up into the hood and store it in my back back as this is now an essential for every day.
Love these quest jackets, I have one in the men's version in size medium and the women's one in a large. The women's one is nice and fitted, but too fitted if you have any curves and are hiking. So I use the women's one for everyday and the men's version for hiking. Keep you nice and dry in the train. I am a size 12/14, with boobs and bum
This is a perfect lightweight waterproof jacket, only thing I have to say is it comes up very large. I bought matching fleece in XL for my son, so ordered XL in this jacket. Whoow so big, so sent it back amd was lucky enough to order nexted size down in Large. Still loose but fits alot better. Son is very happy with this now it fits. For this is why I give it 4 stars. But quality and style is very good.
