I had waited since Covid to get this coat. I am a heath care worker and was not able originally to buy this with the discount offered to Frontline people as it was Sold Out. Now that I have purchased it, I am disappointed. The craftsmanship is not what I remember from NorthFace. I have. Denali that is going on 20 years old and shows minimal signs of wear. This coat will never last that long never mind the logo that is no longer Embroidered. It fits true to size if you are average. If you are slightly larger on top or bottom then it may fit you snug. The sleeves feel a bit short, probably because of the material. I wish the hood detached my personal preference. Love this Shelbe Raschel line, very warm and comfy, I would give 5 stars. However only gave it 3 because I'm a long time owner of this jacket (shorter version) and I clearly notice some quality differences from my older jackets. Very disappointed because this is an all time fave jacket. I wish the old quality was back.Zipper is cheaper. TNF logo is 'sticker' instead of embroidered. The outer layer is slightly different, thinner. The innner shell fur is thinner. I feel this won't be as warm as I once knew this line to be.

I will use this parka on my trip to the Dolomites, as it gets quite cold and drizzly in the fall over there. I love the water-proofing on the outer layer and the soft, very warm, fluffy inner layer. Furthermore, I find the color, light gray, quite pleasant and practical (can be seen much more easily at night, and it will not soil quickly like white would).Something I could do without are the Velcro straps on the storm flap, which get stuck on hair or anything woolly. I think they could have used larger snaps that are much more practical and durable.Overall, I like the parka very much, and I love the customer service as well (I am talking about the Fashion Island store in Orange County, California). Great fit, love the belt back, but all the style is in the back. Blah when zipped. Velcro is a huge NO-NO!! Bad idea TNF! How about some inside pockets for busy multi-tasking women? Overall, I like this jacket over the collared shorter shelbe rochella ... terrible cut on that one. I got a great deal and will keep it but please think about the customer when making these jackets! We wear many hats. Thanks!
The coat is very nice but the lining bunches up in the back and doesn't lay right. The back belt is also sloppy looking and is not pressed well. I also didn't like the pile fabric in the sleeves. It makes it difficult to put your arms in and out if you are wearing long sleeves. I returned for a refund.
I like this Jacket. I bought one for myself and one for my sister. It is warm nice and cozy but the zipper is low quality. Inside of the jacket is good quality , outside of it looks faded black color that makes it less attractive. I wish north face make the same jacket with a nicer zipper , without Velcro and with a darker color nice fabric for the outside of this jacket.
Purchased the short Shelbe first. Really love the feel of it and wanted a more dressy one for work. Ordered same size but sizing was not consistant. Decided to return. North face uses usps for returns. Even taking that into consideration I think waiting for 3 weeks to see a refund is too long. I returned a similar conpanys product and that company emailed me that my return was on the way.. had a tracking and let me know much sooner that my funds were being returned. Wish I could have said the same for North Face as a company.
This is the perfect item for not-so-cold winters in the south, and it's lightweight. If you are looking for something that covers you enough but is also breathable this parka is for you. I used it under pouring cold rain, and I stayed dry and warm. Bonus point: It has side pockets with zippers, so my phone also stayed dry.I love it so much, I wish they'd had other colors.
I purchased this jacket for days that are very cold and windy. It is a heavy jacket that keeps the wind off of me. Super happy with the quality of this jacket. The pockets are generous size, the snap adjustment on the back of the jacket is helpful to snug the jacket up. The zipper at both ends is a must, so helpful when driving. Love, love, love this jacket!
Very warm, stylish and light weight. I am very satisfied with my purchase. For reference, I am approx 140lbs 5'4, athletic build. I ordered a medium and it's perfect. Sleeves are not too long and I have room to wear warm clothes underneath the coat. However it's still slim fitting. I really like the plush liner inside the coat, so I warm regardless.
