The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + Ha 2% 30ml

I've used both the 5% and 10% actives from the ordinary and I'm a big fan! I used then with the goal of building up my skin's tolerance to actives for stronger chemical exfoliation. The 5% is super gentle and never caused any irritation at all. The 10% didn't cause any irritation, but I was glad I had started with the 5% as I have sensitive skin and I could definitely feel it more. The serum helps clear dry patches and seems to help keep my pores from being clogged/congested. I definitely feel like my skin is brighter the next morning. I assume it's the HA but my skin also seems a little plumper the next morning? The stuff is very strong, but works! It can leave a stinging sensation, so be aware of that. If you have sensitive skin, I would apply with caution and definitely patch TEST first this stuff absolutely has helped with my dark marks from acne and ingrown hair scars! I think it is probably too strong to use as a daily toner if you have sensitive skin, but maybe a couple times a week would be good. I do notice that the hyaluronic acid seems to leave a sticky residue, so I usually wash it off after. But I like that it doesn’t feel dry, like other toners. Overall, I love it and would definitely recommend, especially for beginners.

Best and most affordable Lactic Acid available!

Since i used a sample of a well known brand of Lactic acid i have been looking for a cheaper lactic acide that i could gradually use daily on my face. I had to introduce this Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% slowly on a twice weekly basis to start with, gradually moving on to every other day until i felt confudent enough to use every night only as advised in the instructions on the packaging. Slowly this Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% has become a firm favourite as part of my nightly skincare routine every night! I am hooked on mixing this Lactic Acid in equal amounts with another Ordinary product called Argeline Solution 10% of which i am also hooked on using twice daily! I will see in another 3 months how my skin takes to these 2 products being applied together! I have dry skin and typically use tretinoin for hormonal acne at night, but had been noticing some blackheads. When I asked my dermatologist if it would be okay to use lactic acid 1x/week she said as long as I don’t use it with the tret — use it instead of tret, and I could use it up to 2x/week if I tolerated it. This product has been effective for my needs and is very gentle. On the nights I use it, I apply it to dry skin after cleansing and wait a few minutes before applying my moisturizer, and I wake up the next morning with super soft, glowing skin. Great, affordable AHA option

I love this product. I was introduced to lactic acid through a much pricier serum (Good Genes) and I couldn't justify the price. I tried this on a whim and it works better for me than a product that's literally 10x the price.The formula is not elegant. it's a very watery serum that doesn't have the greatest smell. More than once I've knocked the open bottle and lost a bit of product, but at least it's incredibly affordable!I have dry, mature, slightly sensitive skin. I can't use glycolic acid without irritation, and I've found lactic acid is a great option for me because it's hydrating in addition to exfoliating. PATCH TEST, PEOPLE

Patch test!! That's the first rule of skincare! If it burns you, stop using it! Now, for my personal experience, I love this lactic acid. I use it twice a week, on nights I don't use my niacinamide. Guaranteed the next day my skin will be smoother and softer. It helps reduce the redness around my nose and destroys the sebaceous filaments in my cheeks. My nose is too stubborn for it, but it can't do everything so that's whatever. I highly recommend this if you're struggling with skin texture and pigmentation issues.

Saved my life

This saved my skin. I have acne-prone oily skin. Tried so many other products before, including Salicylic acid. Nothing worked. Have used Lactic Acid 5% for a month now and the results have been incredible. It works so well - no irritation, no breakout. I apply this immediately after face wash, i then wait for 10+ minutes before applying Niacinamide. I have not had a cyst or any big pimples since I added this to my routine (i do get occasional whiteheads, which are tolerable). When I say this saved my skin, I mean it saved my life - never have I felt so happy and confident since I started breaking out at 15 (now 30).

The Ordinary 5% Lactic Acid

I was skeptical about using an exfoliating product as I have an extremely sensitive skin. Compared to stronger exfoliants, like glycolic acid, lactic acid is less harsh, making it a favorite among people with sensitive or reactive skin. Lactic acid doesn’t leave skin feeling dry or tight. I had acne marks (post inflammatory erythema) and decided to give it a go! I use it twice a week in my skincare regime followed up by a moisturizer. My skin feels better and the acne marks have faded in just 3 weeks of time. If you want an affordable and effective treatment, start with the 5% concentration once a week and build it up to twice. You’ll see improvements in your PIE! It’s gentle to use for beginners.

The only thing that clears out sebaceous filaments

I have been using this product nightly for 4 months. First of all, I've hardly made a dent in the bottle. You get a lot of good product for a very reasonable price. Secondly, your skin will purge at first and get a little irritated and red (I have sensitive skin). However, with continued use: your fines lines are less visible, your pores are absolutely cleared OUT - no dark spots even with sebaceous filaments, your skin GLOWS. I cleanse nightly with an oil cleanser (oil dissolves oil), then a clay or salicylic acid cleanser to reduce pore size. I then apply this product under a good moisturizer.
