I have been exclusively using these products for the last 3 weeks, the only addition was my usual daily moisturiser. I am very impressed with the results. My skin is clear, bright and well hydrated. I also think it offers fantastic value for money for all 4 products.Squalane Cleanser - A pleasure to use, very little scent, a gentle cleanser that melts into an oil on application. I feel its helped with my puffiness particularly in the morning my eyes feel tighter and smoother.

Now I respect the fact that everyone has different skin and it may react differently than others but as a black person who did not think to follow this till now! I suggest you do test first before you put it on your skin! Let me tell you, GIRL! My skin reacted HEAVY on this product and not in a good way! I'm a nursing student who has to do clinicals (can't miss one day) and I was walking disaster lol! One day they see with ok skin and then next day my residents and classmate see me looking a mess! (pictures for references will be posted). Anyways I suggest all people of colour especially those who produce high pigment, test the product somewhere other than their face before putting it on. Now I don't know if I'm allergic, I never been allergic to anything. I'm aware ... Now I don't know if I'm allergic, I never been allergic to anything. I'm aware that may change when you became an adult, or if it was purging (sis this wasn't what I expected for purging skin). It was WHOLE LOTTA WHITEHEADS! Sadly there wasn't enough reviews on my skin type to go by so I had to immediately stop using the product and return it. BE CAREFUL! Especially if you have work the next day, just be prepare to call that whole week off.Things that I did help me recover my skin, these were recommend by my mom (she's a doctor but definitely not a dermatologist) but the products did help.I used: Aztec (Indian Clay) to suck and dry all those whiteheads, MORNING & NIGHT girl for three days. Yes it did dry my skin but the stubborn Whitehead's were clearing.2: In the morning I used Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone cream that had oat complex, aloe and vitamin E . You can use any hydrocortisone cream. After that put on SUNCREEN( Black girl sunscreen brand 50SPF I used the kids one or use ant vegan related suncreen) Avoid going outside if you can. My skin barrier was weak and extremely sensitive so I stayed inside till the 5th day.3: At night after after the clay mask I used calamine lotion. My skin is still recovering. My eyes are still swollen, and ill have to ask my mom about that but they seem to be getting better by the day. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! This worked for me but it may not work for everyone else. Go to your determologist if you have any questions.

I sorted through so many products on this site, trying to find what was best for me and my skin's needs and, as luck would have it, almost everything I bookmarked was part of this bundle. I have been lucky that I have relatively “good” skin that has helped me get by with my ADHD/lazy girl bare minimum methods. But now in my mid-30s I’m noticing things are starting to look a bit dull, some darkness and fine lines and, after 2.5 years of wearing masks, a lot more blockages around the nose and chin crease.Disclaimer: I have only been using these products for two weeks so far. I need to give it a few more to allow my skin to adjust and to better see results. But I wanted to share my experience thus far.I must stress the importance of reading the Usage Details and Product Directions (found under Usage Details) for each product. The Ordinary has provided so much info, which I understand can be overwhelming to some, but I so so so appreciated it. I felt confident that I could trust ordering from a brand that is so transparent and offers up everything you would need or want to know. I love knowing what order to apply, when to apply (morning and/or night), what NOT to use together – it takes all the guess work out.The Squalane cleanser was the one part of this set that I was initially on the fence about before ordering. The cleanser that I use regularly has kept me happy, but I thought I would give this a try. I am glad that I did! I am not sure yet if I will switch permanently, but I am liking it so far. As per the usage directions, I have been using a small amount, rubbing it into my hands, and massaging it onto my DRY face. I find it doesn't fully "melt" into an oil until it's on my face, but I start the warming process in my hands. You can really tell the moment its consistency changes and it feels good. It feels really good when using it and my skin feels soft after I rinse it off. I think my younger years I was conditioned to believe moisture = oily skin = bad, so I always wanted that “dry” feeling after cleansing my face, but this feels great. While it does remove makeup, I recommend removing eye makeup before use otherwise the product seems to bind to it and I feel like I’m rubbing mascara all over my face. The Glycolic Acid toning solution is what drew me to this set in the first place. I really wanted a chemical exfoliant and this one seemed right. I felt that initial sensitivity the first few uses, but that has since passed. Truly after the first night I felt I could see a difference – had me feeling like my skin looked “fresh-faced”.The Caffeine Solution for eyes seems like it will take a while to see any notable results. But no undesired effects thus far and the product feels nice to use.The Ethylated Ascorbic Acid does have an oily-feeling consistency and it does take time to absorb into the skin. I follow it up with the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA to lock everything in as well, so my face feels like it has a lot of moisture on it. This is not a regimen to immediately apply makeup or rush out the door right after. Gotta give it a bit to absorb. A few times I have felt I look a bit oily with a sheen by the end of the day, but my face feels soft, smooth, and hydrated so I am not complaining – and I want to give my skin longer to adjust; I feel that side effect may lessen.Overall, all of the products feel great and are concentrated so a little goes a long way – makes them easy to use and easy on the wallet too. I am feeling good so far and very optimistic as I continue to use them.

I got The Ordinary gift pack before christmas. I read about it before, but this was the first time i tried. After maybe 2 weeks regular use I could feel the difference. Lines are not as deep, skin clearer, skintone much brighter. 2 +months using and other people noticing the difference too. Using now their moisturizer as well and it is the best I have ever used. Got the set for my daughter as well and she also loving it. Will def stick with this brand.
Has been working well for my acne scars so far... My skin is usually overall pretty clear, but I've had little red spots for a while now from the occasional pimple and it's making them fade within a week of usage. The items are really rich and oily in texture, so I was scared at first because my skin gets oily easily, but it wasn't the kind of oily I expected after usage! I was less "oily" and more smooth and soft after everything was absorbed! The real reason I'm rating the SET a 4/5 stars is the confusion about the items in the products... It says in the description that two of the items in the set shouldn't be used TOGETHER.... which felt misleading since it felt like it should be a whole routine.Still, everything seems to work well though. The only thing that I'd say isn't worth it is the caffeine solution for dark circles and puffiness, since I've seen no effect at all yet, especially not compared to the rest of my face, but I'll see. Maybe it's too early.
Absolutely love The Ordinary sets because they combine the products you need and that work well together, it's always great value and the products have worked absolute wonders for my skin! The oil cleanser is fantastic and such a small amount goes a long way. It kind of 'melts' into the skin and is rinsed off with water. I find it's great at removing make-up too. No weird smells or anything either, which is great. The glycolic acid comes in a large bottle (such good value!) and with using once or twice weekly I've noticed my skin is smoother and clearer with no irritation.I've been really impressed with the two serums too. I think this set is great for someone who hasn't used The Ordinary before. The thing I like best about this brand is how customisable the routine is, and I think if you already know the products it's probably better to mix and match, but for those who haven't used The Ordinary (especially if you've been put off by the idea of tailoring the routine to your skin's own chemistry) this is a great starter set. The squalene cleanser in particular is brilliant - the only thing I don't like about it is that it's a small bottle in this set that I went through quite quickly. I'll definitely repurchase it. The caffeine eye solution is great and has definitely made a difference to the pigmentation under my eyes. I will repurchase this too, but you need such a tiny quantity that the bottle will last me absolutely ages. The glycolic acid toner is very good, but I found it a little too harsh to use daily - pretty easy to layer in when my skin needs a little extra boost. The vitamin C serum didn't really do anything for me - I prefer a Niacinamide serum - but the great benefit of this set is that it makes a routine for you and couldn't be easier to use, so if brightening is what you're after then I think this is definitely worth picking up.
I usually have very high expectations when I try a new product. 8 times out of 10 I am disappointed or find a product that is "better than the last one". This set not only exceeded my expectations, it gave me confidence in myself that I never had.I'm 36 and my skin is definitely changing. I have never felt confident unless I wear full make up, and have felt that was since I was 12 or 13. Add a little aging and it is quite depressing. After a month of using this kit my skin looks healthy, young, and flawless. If you are accustom to typical cleansers, just trust the process. The cleanser works without stripping your skin. All of the "oil" soaks into your skin and does not sit on the surface making you look or feel oily. I highly suggest trying it.
I’ve only been using this set for the last couple of days so I’m unable to say long term whether these products work. As I say, I’ve been using it for a couple of days so I’ll give it some time. The glycolic acid seems to stop me breaking out and certainly tightens the skin, the cleanser is fantastic, leaves skin feeling so soft. I was worried it would cause me to break out with the oil like consistency but I’ve had no issues at all. Still deciding on the caffeine serum!
Squalane cleanser - is the best cleanser I have ever used! it does a really good job of cleaning the skin, whilst still being gentle. and skin feels smooth after use.Caffeine solution - I have bags and puffiness under my eyes, and this product actually work to reduce these. The only things is, I am wary around caffeine in skin products because it is said to speed up the ageing process. I can attest that my skin does look brighter after using this, and the whole bundle in this set. this product is very runny when applying onto the skin, but then doesn't seem to want to rub into the skin and seems thick. a juxtaposition.Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution - the size of the product is very generous. it does come with a caution though, because the PH is so acidic. this works for my oily skin, but occasionally I do turn red because my skin is also sensitive. As I understand it, 7% is a high concentration for this product, making it particularly potent. I would prefer this to be more gentle at around 5%.In a nutshell, all the products I have tried from The Ordinary do exactly what they say on the tin. They are miracle products, like liquid gold. My skin is rejuvenated and looks as smooth as glass since I changed over to their brand. I won't be going back. I'm thrilled to have found a skincare brand with products that work so well! Most companies would charge a fortune for such amazing products, and that's what makes The Ordinary even better, that their prices are so affordable.
