My 3.5-month-old loves this accessory. We have had the play gym since he was born and we use it every day. We just purchased this addition and nothing on the original play gym has kept his attention and stimulated him as much as the sensory strands at this age. This piece is a must for little ones early on before they are able to roll over and move around, however, we are baffled as to why this was not included in the original purchase of our play gym as the sensory strands are so essential. I am thrilled with the beauty and quality but hope Lovevery considers making it part of the gym for future families to get the most use out of it.

For my newborn, these strands were too loud to have right up in his face, but he loved to kick at them! Now that he's 4 months, they are a little too high for him to interact with, again, without being right in his face. Instead, I attach the strand only in the middle and not along the gym legs to allow it to hang a bit lower. This adjustment enables my son to more easily grab at different stands and mouth them. As he gets older, I'm excited to attach it more securely and have him be challenged to lift himself up to engage with them. A worth while add on, for sure.

I bought these sensory strands thinking my baby would love going after them, either with feet or hands. However, the strands that I recieved were defective, because the yellow strand feels like it has a rattle or something inside of it, but it doesn't make any noise. I have tried shaking it at all different speeds, nothing happens. Disappointing for the money spent on them.
I probably bought these a little too late (4.5 months), but they were still worth it to add some novelty to our mat. I highly recommend them starting at about two months. My little guy enjoyed them. The only reason I’m not giving them five stars is because they are kind of a single used toy. Love every does an excellent job of coming up with many activities for most their items, but this one is just a one hit wonder.
I was on the fence about getting the strands just because of the price, but it was well worth it. My baby loves manipulating them and I can tell that as my baby learns they will be able to play even more with the strands. We purchased them when baby was 3 months and they haven’t had a day where they weren’t excited to play with them.I only have one silly complaint and that is on the squeaker strand I thought the pattern was fish but it is just a geometric pattern. Not a negative at all, just something I would have enjoyed a bit more.
LOVE! My son loved his mobile attachment but as he's gotten bigger (3+ months now) and grabby we had to take it down. This was a perfect new addition. He's so interested in the sounds and can grab on the different pieces and bat at them without me worrying they will hurt him if they swing towards his face. One of our favorite accessories to use for play time.
My daughter loved this! I waited until she was 3 months old and finally bought this extra attachment that goes with the play gym and I’m so glad I did. It’s the perfect height and she can reach and grab all the strands. She loves the noises it makes. Honestly Im so impressed with all of lovevery’s products. They are always well made and right on point with baby’s age.
Our daughter likes to explore each area of the Sensory Strands. She enjoyed batting at them, listening to others move the strands around and touching each strand. She even grabbed the thinner pieces to work on her grasp and grip strength. She even began using the thin strands to help pull herself up. The large crinkle area is a great feature apart from the strands. I like that each piece has a different sensory experience. Sensory Strands are brightly coloured and a must add-on to the Lovevery play gym.
