The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

Read the book in a few days! Soooo good! The show so so good too! Definitely need to read book 2 3! So excited to read and watch the next seasons once they come out. If you’re looking for a summer show this is it!

This book is great for an easy read. It’s one of those books that can ease you back into reading. The story is sweet and sad but one you cannot put down. The characters could have been developed more and some sections are slightly choppy but an overall enjoyable read. Perfect to get you in those Summer vibes.

This book has been out for the longest time and it’s still going strong for a reason!! It’s just such a good book to read in the summer - definitely recommend reading it especially if you are going to watch the series!! Reading the book and then watching it on screen is one of the best feelings - especially since the series is actually pretty good!!

I just bought this book for my teenage daughter. Some times I get feedback sometimes I don’t. I do she is quite and can’t keep her head out is a maybe. If she gets an attitude, cas we keep stopping her with everyday life, then it’s a GREAT book. I did good!! An attitude cas we keep stopping her then I will buy the whole series!

I didn't read as much when I was younger but I've been trying to get back into it and this was the perfect book to do so. It's such an easy read, once you start it you cannot put it down, it's a story about friendship, childhood crushes, family, coming of age and trying new things but mostly love! I read it while i was on vacation and honestly i was living my summer through Belly, the main character, since we can't do many thing because of the pandemic and probably made me have so much more appreciation for it than i would have had any other time on my life. The book goes back in time a few times but i doesn't distract you from what's going on in the present, honestly i could see the flashbacks scenes in the movie i had made up in my mind, i absolutely loved it!!!

This whole storyline (book series) has a chokehold on me!! It’s a great book and the author is so amazing. The stuff this lady writes is straight up addicting. Add this to your list of books to read. It gives you the jittery feeling of teenage love and really brings you back to such an exciting time in your life.

Liked it But Won't Be Reading the Sequels

This book is not that great, if I read it at any other time I would have absolutely hated it!. I read it during the summer while lying in bed, or by the pool, and that was perfect for the book! It was just a fast, contemporary, kind of cute read. I did enjoy it at the time but I brushed a lot of things off, and chose to ignore others. Despite it's flaws, I still enjoyed the book, surprisingly.Belly is the main character, she is really annoying, selfish, and pretty pathetic all throughout the book. She has some serious issues she needs to work through, and a lot of growing up to do. The book cover that came in the mail is NOT the book cover that is advertised! It is the ugly new book cover that has the terrible writing of the title on it in that hideous coral color. I’m not one to judge a book by it’s cover but this is unacceptable to sell something that is not what the picture shows or what the product description states.

the title explains a girls dream summer!

my mum got me this book and i love it! its definitely great for teenagers. the second and third are just as good! i definitely recommend buying this book and watching the series if you are into love triangles, summer, and fun!

10/10 loved every bit of it it's so cute and romantic and so sad at the same time i am team Jeremiah i must say but kind of morphing into team conrad and can't wait to read the second book. i love this series because of the love triangle and the summer feel you get when reading it. i loved the flashbacks to when everyone was younger to read what they were like growing up and everyone's friendships is something to cherish
