The witcher 3: wild hunt concludes the story of the witcher geralt of rivia the series' protagonist whose story to date has been covered in the previous versions. Continuing from the witcher 2 the ones who sought to use geralt are now gone. Geralt seeks to embark on a new and personal mission whilst the world order itself is coming to a change. Geralt's new mission comes in dark times as the mysterious and otherworldly army known as the wild hunt invades the northern kingdoms leaving only blood soaked earth and fiery ruin in its wake; and it seems the witcher is the key to stopping their cataclysmic rampage.

This game is one of the best RPG thanks to the open world and never ending stories and quests it is one of the best games that was released. The game just grap you and never give you chanceto escape to other games. With the release of the 2 DLCs the game was kept alive longer as a TOP game. With one of the DLC giving it look like another game of Witcher. This game just keeps you going, keeps you want to explore it more and more. If you want to go more into the story I would recommend to read books or play from first game, it gives you more behind the story and how he got where he is type of vibe.

So, I bought this game over 2 years ago on a sale and it was the complete edition. I didn't get to the game to play it until about 6 months ago. It took me coming back to the game a few times to get used to the gameplay and just get the game started as the first few missions and the way that the UI and quest system is set up is a bit confusing for a noob like me. After getting past the first few quests, I was pretty hooked and got through a lot of the game pretty quickly due to being addicted to it. I've never experienced such an adult-themed fantasy game before, or story for that matter. And I can say that it is a welcomed fresh take on fantasy that is pretty amazing. I can say that the multiple ending mechanic works very awesome in this game. I don't want to give much away, so I wont say how that all works, but choices that you make in the game do effect the ending. So, it's petty fantastic when you feel like your decisions matter. Also, the graphics in just 1080P on a 4K HDR TV look fantastic on their own. I don't have an Xbox One X yet, but the game still wowed. All and all, I can see why this got 10/10 from most reviewers. The expansions are actually cooler than the main-game and I'm just starting them. Play this game, you wont regret it.

I had never played Witcher 3 before, so as a fan of RPGs and open world games, including others on Nintendo Switch including Elder Scrolls and Breath of the Wild, I knew I had to pick this up. I had read reviews warning about the reduced graphics compared to other platforms, but decided I wasn't too worried about that. Once I started playing however, in docked mode only so far, I definitely felt that visually the game looked a little blurry/muddy, but I should state that the television I was using isn't huge nor the highest quality available, so your mileage may vary. With this criticism out of the way, I can say that this game is fantastic. So far I am only around 10 hours in, but I have enjoyed them so much they have flown by. And I can tell that I haven't even scratched the surface, there is still so much more to discover. I had planned to pick up the new Pokemon title on release next month, but at this rate I feel like I will still be playing Witcher 3, and still enjoying every moment of it. As a final note, this complete edition includes some bonus goodies, including some stickers, a beautiful world map, and a couple of other items. Being of an age where I remember when video games used to come with such things as standard (I still have my maps from the original versions of Baldur's Gate I and II), I thought this was a delightful touch.

The greatest RPG and one of the best Games created. The Witcher 3 redefines what RPG can and should be. It deservedly won many awards and this, the Game of the Year edition, is the complete package bundling in both of the DLC packs released after - as well as the free DLC too. Visually stunning and impeccably polished, it shows what can be achieved on this hardware. Its certainly not style over substance either. The story is compelling, characters and voice acting, superb and an excellent soundtrack too. It is an Adults game and not just because of the violence. The world is stunning and beautifully realised. I can spend time just watching the sun set over a stunning Vista rather than rush from one objective to the next. The world is stunning and beautifully realised. I can spend time just watching the sun set over a stunning Vista rather than rush from one objective to the next. Combat is great too and on harder difficulties, requires preparation, understanding the variety of enemies and their weaknesses and ensuring you are properly equipped to deal with them. Its not unlike Bloodbourne in a lot of ways. I am certainly not going to spoil the story although with multiple choices through out the game leading to a variety of possible outcomes, your play through could be very different. The world feels dynamic with choices and consequences - even from seemingly minor side quests having some bigger consequences than expected - its not necessarily black or white, good or bad but some can be good for some but bad for others and that 'dynamic' can have an impact in the world. As mentioned, there are a lot of Side Quests as well as Witcher Contracts (Contracts on some mythical creature - like a Griffin, Ogres, Vampire etc) as well as opportunities to play Gwent, race horses. I spent 150hrs on my first playthrough and there is a 'new game +' option too if you want to play through again and maybe see how different decisions playout without having to find all the bombs, potions recipes again and gather the materials to craft these. The bundled DLC is also excellent. The first and smaller of the two takes place in the same 'space' as the main game and offers its own 'mini' story line as well as new side quests. The second adds a new quite large area and is 'bigger' and better than many AAA games on its own. This is easily one of the best games ever created and highly recommended!

Incredible Story / Characters

A fantastic RPG for multiple reasons, but the writing and story are head-and-shoulders above any open world game I've ever played. You can really tell these games are based on a series of books because the world and major characters are overflowing with lore, character and interesting details. Even the peasants you meet feel like real people who are struggling to get by. Quests and most sidequests give you interesting tasks to pursue (not just "go here, get/kill this") and feel really grounded in the world. Geralt has to make difficult decisions that I found hard to decide and even harder to predict the consequences of.Character designs and voice acting are still top-notch even 5 years later. There's an easy mode for players who mainly want to experience the story.Absolutely worth the price, I can tell this is a game I'm going to be coming back to for months if not longer.

The Witcher 3 on PlayStation 5 is an absolute masterpiece! The enhanced graphics, faster load times, and smooth gameplay make it an unforgettable experience. Dive into the rich world of Geralt of Rivia and prepare to be captivated. Good on the studio for allowing the Dlc to be in the Disc as well.

The best game port for switch...hands down!
16 October 2019

I have owned Witcher 3 on PC and have played it enough to understand the difference between the original game and the port for the switch. The game deserves to be ranked as both a port and for its content.Game: This is THE best rpg that has ever been written for a modern system. The quests feel real. Your decisions have weight and the voice acting is incredible. I love other rpgs (skyrim, divinity, final fantasy etc) but Witcher just manages to go miles above in many categories. The art of the game is downright immersive. The character models look like real people. The only downside is the combat is fairly tricky and can feel clunky sometimes.Port: First, the packaging is excellent for a switch game. My game came with a thank you letter, stickers, a little compendium and a map. If I am going to buy a 4 year old game at near full price, this is exactly what I want to come with the box. The second thing I noticed was that there is no day 1 patch. The whole game runs of the cart. This is great for someone without access to a fast internet connection and shows the time and care CDPR took in making this edition. Graphics have been downgraded from my PC version. Instead of a crisp dream, it reminds me of an impressionist painting. Absolutely playable but a change none-the-less. Framerate is good and colors pop. Sound is compressed but I didn't notice any large difference. Controls feel sharp. The biggest change is playing it on the go and how convenient that feels. I think that Saber Interactive absolutely hit the technicals out of the park when porting this.Bottom line: If you liked Breath of the Wild and own a switch, you need to buy, rent or find some way to get your hands on this game.

Witcher 3

The Witcher III is an immense game. I'm 3 weeks in and not a third of the way through. It's very well written, and feels immersive. Although with some jank and lackluster combat, though everything else about the game more than makes up for it. The one glaring problem that keeps it from being 5 stars is a bug that freezes the game and requires exiting the game and restarting it. I have encounter the glitch 3-4 times, but doesn't appear enough to necessatate being counted as a glaring flaw, but is noteworthy nonetheless.

Witcher 3 is a great game. While the update in graphics was hardly noticeable, for the price of $20 on Walmart, it was hard to pass up even if I already own prior versions. It's always nice to have a physical version of a great game to gift or keep just in case. And the copy was in great condition. Never trust full digital!
