He can use it alone, since the design is curved to support behind the back use if needed, or I will help to target the spots he needs. The speeds can be aggressive, we usually just use the lowest or second to lowest speed, but I do like that you can change and increase the intensity as needed. The price of the Elite G4 is the biggest draw, but quite honestly, we needed a massage device that would stand the test of time, so investing in quality equipment was crucial. If you exercise seldomly, or do not have a history of regular muscle aches, you may not need to invest in this particular product, and can opt for something more inexpensive. However, we have owned our Theragun for over 3 years, and have even gifted it to friends and family with problem muscle and back issues, and it has absolutely held up, in both battery life and physical quality. We consider this to be an excellent investment, and my husband and I give the Theragun Elite G4 5 out of 5 stars.

The device is easy to use even if you don’t read instructions, it comes with a downloadable app with different programmes to help relax muscles and bones. The device is rechargeable with the usb wire that is included and comes with a clear oled display. The only slight downside to the device is that sometimes I feel it is a little heavy especially when holding for more than 8-10 minutes. But it does not affect the frequency I use it. There are so many programmes in the app, the device can even help to warm up before exercising or relaxing muscles after intense work out and even help with things like sciatica. I have been using this device for about a week now daily and found that after using it, it has improved my sleep which is amazing. Overall, the device is great and the product is well made and great quality, it can also be connected to the phone using Bluetooth

I'm really interested in seeing if it helps stave off shin splints from running as my volume increases. I've pretty consistently used a foam roller and 'the stick' for my soft tissue treatment for cycling/running to this point. One of two complaints is that it doesn't come with a wireless charging pad and it's not compatible with other wireless charging pads that are pretty ubiquitous these days. At 3/400$ it's one of those things that should be included. The charging cradle looks a bit extra for what it needs to do. 80$ for the one from them is a rip off that I will likely begrudgingly purchase at some point. Slimey practice from the company to not include in my opinion. Second complaint is the storage case and the design is cheap/atrocious. Having to lift the damn flap to access the massage gun every time is a pain in the butt (thankfully the massager can work that out? :/). Not sure why they felt the need to reinvent the wheel here instead of just having the same mesh retaining pockets attached to the top side so you had clear access to the device and the attachments when you open it and they were out of the way. I almost would have preferred a bag with an inner pocket for storing the attachments.

The Theragun Elite is a very powerful massager that really works. You can really feel your muscles loosen straight after. It has the same effect as going to get a sports massage, but from the comfort of your own home and convenience of any time of your choosing. The different heads are super easy to switch, literally just pull and push on. The app I would highly recommend as you can choose a muscle group or area you want to massage and it shows you what to do whilst at the same time setting the correct speed and power needed for the Theragun. It has really helped us to losen our shoulders and neck muscles, especially at the end of a stressful day. We highly recommend!

Battery problem after 8 months of limited use

Absolute disaster with my Theragun Elite. After 8-9 months of use, the device started having major charging issues. It would charge extremely slow, and as soon as I disconnected it from the charger, it would immediately power down. Essentially, it became a complete brick.After a couple of months I reached out to Therabody's customer support, hoping they would stand behind their premium product. However, their response was utterly disappointing. They cited that my purchase was made more than 1 year ago (14 months from the time I made an order), and the warranty only covers 1 year from the date of purchase. Exceed expectations, deep and powerful

Used many massage guns throughout the years but I thought I need to upgrade to the best one on the market to treat myself. This is above the budget I want to spend but it’s exceeded expectations so well worth it. Compared to other generic brands the punches is harder and much more deep. Also the vibration is more even. It’s also gentle to use on the neck… the vibration frequency doesn’t shake you skull. Hard to explain but it’s much more finesse. The different attachment tips hit differently. Great for those that want to target specific pressure point…It’s well worth it…

Game changer

I always think glowing reviews are fake, but honestly, I was going to say, it's changed my life, but that's a bit OTT! However, it has changed an aspect of my life, my pain. My Husband used to massage me every evening for at least 30 mins, just to enable me to go to sleep. Now, max 10 mins and I feel even better. It can't cure the cause of my pain (OA and Fibro) but it 'releases' the muscles around the cause. If that makes sense. It increases the blood flow through those muscles that are always so knotted and tight. Other than that, it's worth every penny, honestly.

Look for less expensive alternatives.

I have several complaints about this product:1) It seems WAY overpriced, even at the discount which was offered2) I did not find the triangular handle to be ergonomic, despite that it looks "cool". It does not extend far enough down the back.3) The piston motion is too great (from retracted to extended) resulting in the massager jumping all over the place and being extremely difficult to control. After a lot of practice I got it to work, sort of.4) Regardless of the speed setting, the massager is just too powerful. No replaceable battery

I would not recommend the Theragun prime or elite. A common problem is that if you don't use them for a few months the battery becomes faulty. There is NO WAY TO REPLACE THEM. It's so irresponsible of theragun to manufacture such an expensive piece of equipment that ends up in the landfill! Either purchase the Theragun Pro (Its the only one with replacement batteries) or purchase the hypervolt 2 pro which has replacement batteries available. That's what I had to do after purchasing the Theragun elite for 579 dollars after the 12 month warranty was up and the battery failed. Be warned, it's a common problem with the Theragun and be prepared for zero customer service!

So Very, Very Helpful

I play tennis three times a week and lift moderate weights with lots of squats three times a week. My lower back has always nagged at me but I thought I’d finally quieted it down with lots of sit-ups. Twisting moves at tennis aggravated it badly and I couldn’t shake the tightness & pain over several weeks.After my wife used the Elite on my lower back for three or four minutes the first time the muscles eased up dramatically. I hadn’t felt that much relief in a couple months. I now use it a few hours after tennis each time and those muscles relax and release. I’ve even been able to reach back there myself because of the innovative design of the device and work on either side of the spine.I’m a believer! So helpful. So easy. So much relief.
