I have version 1 of this bag, and I purchased version 2 as a birthday gift for a friend. After examining the differences I think the new bag is better, although a bit too expensive. One thing I don't like about the design is the zipper flap for the main compartment. I wish it could be removed.

This bag is really big and it does just what I need. I can fit everything in it for my travels and I travel for a living. I've got a 7d2 with an attached 17-55, a 70-200 f4, 100 f2.8 macro, and believe it or not a Sigma 150-600 contemporary standing up in it. It's a little tight to zip the cover but it does. It works perfectly for me. I bought the black, the black does attract the lint and white dog hair from my Shiba, but I can with with it.

I've been looking for something to hold my Wista SP, film holders, a couple lenses, and all the accessories that go with view camera photography. With the Retrospective 30 V2.0 I found it. I am able to fit the camera, 7 film holders, 90mm, 150mm and 135mm lenses, light meter, 4 - 82mm filters, cable release, and loupe.I had been using the Retrospective 7, which is nice for a trip where I'm only needing one lens. I had also tried several backpack type bags but they were just too awkward with getting in and out of in the field.This bag is a great solution for LF photographers!
I have been a Domke user for over thirty years, but this bag and its ability to carry my laptop lets me work easily on assignment. I am a Leica shooter for my work and this bags carries two bodies and four lenses easily. The zippered flap keeps everything secure and the ability to hide the velcro on the large flap makes getting in and out of the bag quickly. Glad I made the switch!! My new favorite bag
You can fit a mirrorless body and three lenses (e.g. EOS R6 with RF24-105 attached + RF14-35 + RF70-200f4) and a small flash, plus a 13 laptop and some random personal junk. The bag does not say steal me. Like other Think Tank products it is constructed very sturdy. Unlike many bags in this size category, you can fit a water bottle into the end pocket, or a compact tripod if that's your thing.
I got this bag as a Christmas present and have used it for 5+ months now. I have to say that this is one product that, in my opinion, is well worth the cost. There are plenty of pockets and the space is just what I needed. It easily carries my 7D Mark II with battery grip and Tamron 18-400mm lens attached. In addition, I have a Canon 10-13mm lens and a Sigma 24-105 f4 lens included. There's still room for a compliment of filters, clothes, a kirk rail etc. Is all of this heavy? Yes, after a while, but the shoulder strap is extremely well padded. The entire bag is top quality and I'd buy it again if I needed another bag.
Without a doubt, Think Tank products are far better than others on the market. The design and concept of each of their products is thought out to the last detail. From the carry strap, made from thicker webbing and different material than others in its level, to the layout of the interior design. Offering room with sturdy support. The only con, I wish that it had a bathtub style build on the bottom exterior, with a material that would prevent moisture from getting into the bag if ever set on a moist surface. Otherwise top notch.
Beautiful bag, well made but completely useless for Nikon Pro DSLR like Nikon D6 an so on . But I will keep it just in case I will upgrade myself to the new Z link system in the near future but until then is my favorite dust collector!
Perfect size for my new Nikon Z5 w/ 24-200 attached + FTZII and 50mm/1.8 in a bay; iPad Pro 13" fits great plus leftover room for cables/plugs and spare charger. All sorts of nooks and crannies for mostly smaller things that you may carry (paper, cleaning supply, maps, keys). Only thing that bamboozled me was the two holes in the flap (viewable in normal pics)-thought there'd be some sort of hook or latch to close more securely during transit; holes are aesthetic as only flap security are two 2" square Velcro points. Certainly 4.5 stars if I could, but it's not perfect so rounded down...
