My 3 year old granddaughter enjoys watching Thomas and friends and was excited to finally have a toy version of a character that she loves! She’s played with Kenji daily for almost two weeks and he still looks like new even though dropped on the tile floor quite a few times! His face is still smiling! The train requires 2 AAA batteries and turns on and off with a simple red switch on top of the main engine. It doesn’t make a lot of noise or move too fast and wasn’t intimidating to my usually skittish granddaughter, but she still seemed to favor just pushing him around by hand. My 4 year old loves these trains (has been obsessed for a little over a year now) and kenji made the perfect addition to his collection! He loves this little train so much he has to take him to bed with him nightly. Perfect gift for any littles who loves Thomas or just trains in general! We will be purchasing more!

Purchased this for my young grandson and purchased the required(the toy shop website) batteries. Sadly the website says I needed two AA batteries, the toy actually needed two AAA batteries, so my grandson was unable to get the most out of the motorised toy. Took the batteries back, they couldn’t be exchanged because they had been opened.

Nice addition to my son’s Thomas and Friends collection. He is 6 and still plays on his tracks and loves this as it’s motorised. It is a little bit bigger than the push alongs but can still be played on his trackmaster track. It is also pulling a cart instead of a coach so he loves being able to put tiny things on the cart as it runs around the track. Very easy to operate and small enough to be taken around. Good quality and good value for money.
My son got this train and absolutely loves it! Super cute and durable! It has on and off switch and don’t have the rubber parts on the tires anymore which is great cause my kids always pulled them off and I was afraid of them putting them in there mouth! These are made so durable especially for little toddlers who like to give toys a toss or two! The only downside is that little battery compartment taking out those little screws! Don’t forget the batteries!!
My kids love trains and were excited to get these motorized trains. They had to wait a few days because I didn't have batteries for them. Although they did still play with them without batteries, as well. My kids were disappointed when the train wasn't strong enough to go up their tran track hills.
This battery powered train is adorable and good quality. It has a thicker body than some of the older style trains and is easy for little and big fingers to use. Simple on and off controls and a decent speed. I like how it comes with the added accessory. Definitely recommend it as an addition to your Thomas and friends collection!
It's cute. Not as a good as the old wooden versions, but still fine. It's lightweight plastic, the faces are stuck on (not moulded) but it's fine. My wee one was very very happy to play with these! :)
I got this Kenji train along with Percy and my 3 year old grandson had a blast playing with them together. I do have a Thomas track at my house (which surprisingly it did fit) but he preferred to play with the train on his mickey mouse road playmat. The train is lightweight but very well made. It was a little tricky to get the batteries in and I was disappointed they were not included but it was worth it watching how much fun was being had playing. The train in easy to turn on for a three year old and the batteries seem to last for quite a while. Colin had a great time hooking the caboose on and adding another one from Thomas and Percy. This train is great quality as I stepped in it barefoot in the kitchen and it did not break.
This is a decent motorized Thomas train. I like Kenji's sleek design; an interesting contrast to the usual Thomas design. The motor is fun, and is nice and quiet. I admit that I actually enjoy the manual trains more than the ones that are self propelled, but this is a good one.
