I've been taking slippery elm for years and have found it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I always have a bottle in the cupboard. I like the Thompson's brand and always look for it first when buying supplements. It seems to be good quality and strength.

Of all the brands of slippery elm tablets, I find this is the best one, especially for heartburn/GERD. As they are chewable and suckable, they provide a coating for the oesophagus. Other tablets usually have to be swallowed with water, so they only affect the stomach and don't have the same effect. If you can get used to the weird taste (I'd describe it as like sweet tree bark), I find them more effective for relief than Mylanta or Gaviscon.

Still early days, but I think the Slippery Elm Bark is making a difference. I am taking an even more expensive liquid product, which I am planning to ween myself off, so the litmus test will be when that happens. Value of Thompsons Slippery Elm Bark is ok, would not like to pay more. I trust Thompsons and this product re it's quality

Seems to effectively increase the protective mucosa through the digestive system. It is my habit to take daily, half chewed & half swallowed. I imagine that this helps to better affect both ends, ha ha ha.

Have found this product to be very helpful in managing certain menopausal symptoms. May need to play around with the daily dose to find right balance for your body but i have found it greatly relieves the symptoms. Fabulous product I continue to use.
Only on my first jar but noticeable changes to my nails. I had a few nails that were incredibly brittle. Not so much difference on my hair. I’d keep using it for a few months to see how it really works. Definitely worth a try.
