We have been using the Coaster XT for almost a year and have had nothing but good experiences. Our little guy (now almost 2 yrs old) loves it, and we utilize the secondary seat for extra clothing, stuffed animals, snacks, etc. It is perfect for our bike rides to the Farmer's Market, where we can quickly convert to a stroller to walk around, and pack our market goods in the back storage. It feels very sturdy, and while there isn't anything remarkable about the shocks, it seems to be quite comfortable whether we're on the road or an easy trail. I also like the ability to use the screen or the wind/rain cover, depending on the weather. The only other feature that would be great to have would be some sort of shade cover. We debated getting this since we already have the ... MoreWe have been using the Coaster XT for almost a year and have had nothing but good experiences. I did my homework on this purchase the reviews were amazing in terms of how easy it is to use and change from stroller to bike stroller and size. It is a super smooth ride easy to push as a stroller great on all the bumps on the sidewalk. However I received it last week and after assembling it I was so disappointed in the how much effort it took to collapse it. I had a hard time getting the wheels in. The stroller is actually bigger than I thought and my19 month old is so snug in there, like unbelievably and she isn’t even big. I got this to use in the winter time but there is no way I am going to be able to get her buckled with a jacket on.I tried contacting customer support immediately after assembling it but I can’t return it so now I am stuck with a 500 plus ... MoreI did my homework on this purchase the reviews were amazing in terms of how easy it is to use and change from stroller to bike stroller and size. We needed a double stroller to fit both children for the fall. This seemed like the cheapest way to do it but get quality product so we took the chance and we are very happy with our purchase! The fabric and design are very nice and the quality of it over all is amazing. Would recommend for sure. It rides very smoothly as a stroller. Have yet to test it as a bike trailer. Easy assembly

I bike AND run daily even in 5 months of snow, and have had three Thule products: the Urban Glide 2 stroller, the Cougar chariot and now this. I sold the Urban Glide and the Cougar for this beauty! It's incredibly easy to transition from bike to stroller mode, more so than the Cougar, it pushes almost as smoothly as the Urban Glide and has FANTASTIC ventilation. Two things I would change are the brake since this one can only be done by reaching between the wheel, and for suspension. The hammock seat is as sturdy as a bench seat, but it doesn't absorb the shock very well for gravel or running on cracks. I'm almost always on pavement though and the kids haven't complained. If you need a fixed jogging wheel or go off road often, it might be worth doubling your budget ... MoreI bike AND run daily even in 5 months of snow, and have had three Thule products: the Urban Glide 2 stroller, the Cougar chariot and now this. If you need a fixed jogging wheel or go off road often, it might be worth doubling your budget for the Lite, but if you're a flat surface roller like me, it's a fantastic lightweight trailer. Maybe buy some WD-40 for the knob to fold it- they're a little snug.
This is billed as the XL Coaster, but if they are referring to the double seats, that's somewhat misleading. PLUSES: The Trailer/stroller frame is solid, but light, easily opens and closes, and was a breeze to put together. The tires pop on and off easily, and though I haven't used it, the quick release mechanism and conversion kit to make use of this as a trailer looks very convenient. They include a second ezHitch for a second bike, very helpful for hassle-free switching. The dual harnesses are padded and have an easy on/off clip and adjustable straps. MINUSES: BUT . . . the interior bench for kids is very shallow -- the seat depth is 7", with approx. 13" available for leg room, and I'm not sure most older/larger toddlers would be comfortable sitting for a longer ... MoreThis is billed as the XL Coaster, but if they are referring to the double seats, that's somewhat misleading. We will give it a try this weekend as both a stroller and as a bicycle trailer. ALSO, be aware that this item is NOT "suitable" (meant to be) as (a) jog stroller and it is much bulkier than I would want for a normal double stroller . . . I prefer our Uppababy for most strolling/errands or the double BOB for running . . . both have a more comfortable ride. It is, for its size, though, very agile at turning with the single front wheel, and if you're headed on vacation with bikes and don't want to take tons of equipment, this will do nicely for walks. VERDICT: A nice trailer, primarily for 6 months and older babies who are stable when sitting (no side support) and for smaller toddlers/kids. The stroller function is a bonus when one doesn't want to haul around a trailer and a stroller but will end up using both.
I love jogging with this stroller even though it's not a jogger! I have not used it as a bike trailer as my second son is not born/old enough yet- but I can't wait to try it! I can imagine it will be weightless behind my bike. It's very easy to use as a stroller and I even prefer it to the single stroller I've used all last year! Thule has great products and setup was not hard. About 30 minutes. I don't like that the front removable stroller wheel is plastic instead of rubber- it's louder on rocky paths. But I do enjoy running with it because there is more space for my feet to reach forward while jogging as compared to my Thule single seater jogging stroller! I am 5'9" and the handle bar is just high enough. Would probably be too low for my husband. Nice black color ... MoreI love jogging with this stroller even though it's not a jogger! Overall great product. Wish it would fold more compactly and that both covers came off separately to be able to use one or the other instead of just flipping up the plastic cover. Also, would be helpful if it had a secure zipper closure instead of Velcro at that price point,I think some simple yet beneficial changes could be made such as a cup holder included.
Purchased couple years ago and very lightly used. Safety straps looked very badly designed and not secure at all day 1. To make things worse one of the latches stopped working. Stacked. And to make it even worse, I do not think it can be replaced. Thule does not list it as a replacement part anyway. Brake system was rarely used considering we live in flat area. Even that misfunctioned when one screw get lost and brake could not be disengaged. I fixed it but again, design is poor, that screw keeps getting lose. Another problem is that trailer has a lot of room for stuff at the back but not enough in front for kids legs. Again, bad design. I am not saying trailer is so bad but it is not worth the money. I think it is better to purchase cheep alternative and not to be ... MorePurchased couple years ago and very lightly used. Safety straps looked very badly designed and not secure at all day 1. We’ve had our trailer for years now and use it every day to take our kid to school and every day we have to deal with the Velcro of the cover being so short that we can attach it. After the struggle to attach at least one end the slightest disturbance of wind and worse, rain, makes it fly open. So we are riding unprotected and many times wrt. 2 more inches and it would be perfect! We would even take just 1 inch. Don’t buy this trailer. It gets annoying after a while.
This is by far the best stroller, running stroller, and bike trailer for children. We've only had it 2 weeks and should have bought this long ago. We use it non stop as a stroller with both children or even one child because its so easy to push. We find ourselves barely using our regular stroller now. As a running stroller and bike trailer its been excellent. It was largely put together when it was delivered and all I had to do was put wheels on and front latch/wheel. Both kids fit inside perfect and my oldest loves it and says its comfortable.
