The Thule 598 ProRide locking upright cycle carrier is a convenient and secure way to transport your bike. It features a revised clamp with an extended lower jaw that holds your bike in place while you secure the wheel straps and tighten everything up. The integrated torque limited dial prevents over-tightening on lightweight carbon frames, ensuring the clamp is still secure. The deep and flexible padding integrated into the 598's jaws adapts to the shape of your frame, giving a more secure hold while minimizing the chances of damage. The smartly designed wheel holders have diagonal straps for a larger contact area and a more secure hold. The ratcheting pump-buckles make cinching them up a quick and easy task. The clamp arm can be switched tool-free from one side to the other for mounting on either side of your vehicle. The clamp and mountings are lockable, securing the rack to the car and the bike to the rack. The carrier includes T-track adaptors to fit Thule Wing, Slide, and Aero bars, and requires an adaptor for square bars. It is suitable for bikes with a maximum weight of 20 KG. The carrier has been city crash tested and TÜV approved.
