The size and comfort of this pack is unmatched and second to none. It is easy to fill the bladder and fits securely into a separate sleeve. Weight is nicely balanced while on use and isn't top heavy like many backpacks. Has compartments for plenty of tools and gadgets. The shape is nice and slim, while structured as not to become saggy and wide like other backpacks. Overall, well built and worth the price.

For a long time now I've been using bladders that impart no taste or smell to the water. Why would Thule use a bladder from 20 years ago ? I often leave the same water in my bladder for a week or two with no change in taste. Drinking from the Thule bladder is rather nasty immediately !

I love this pack. Bought it for some challenging, all-day hikes in Colorado. One day, after 8+ miles, I still had plenty of water to spare - and I was hydrating often! The fit is great (adjustable) and plenty of smart compartments make it easy to pack a good amount of stuff and remain organized. I'm happy with the color, too. No true flaws here - the adjustable straps always take me a few tries to go in the right direction, which I think is more user error than anything :)
So far after purchasing things I’ve noticed on this bad is the intentionality of each design feature it has. Thule did great with giving enough pockets without just throwing pockets all over the things. You’ve got enough storage for tools, pump, and whatever else you may need…wallet, keys, phone. Strap management is absolutely superb as well. Almost ever strap adjustment you make has a way to wrap them up so they don’t flop around. I love the magnetic tub. Bag feels durable. Most of all it’s super planted and doesn’t feel sloppy on my back when hitting jumps or tech sections. Only down side is since it is a fairly large bag I did notice my back sweating pretty good. Understandable though! Ventilated enough that it was an uncomfortable soup kitchen back there, ... MoreSo far after purchasing things I’ve noticed on this bad is the intentionality of each design feature it has. Understandable though! Ventilated enough that it was an uncomfortable soup kitchen back there, granted I don’t really sweat much and the temps were mild, so that opinion could change in 80 degree weather. Camel sack does have a slight plastic taste, but it’s so early in owning this I don’t know how long it will linger. Hopefully it goes away after a few uses. All in all it’s a solid bag, and better than any of the others I’ve tried on.
I have a hip pack for shorter rides but this is great for longer trips where I want to carry more. I found the adjustability on the height of the chest strap useful for getting the fit right.
The retrak sistems amazing. . Does move around Riding. Only area of improvement would be if the water bag detached from the hose to fill.
Found it challenging to organize the strap ends as there are a few and each uses a slightly different method. Very clean looking backpack except for the strap ends
Very impressed of the quality, built with high-end components, and the fit (for me at least) is perfect! I will probably use it while ski touring in late spring conditions. Have everything I wan't for those occasions, and for mtb of course!
This checks all the boxes… back protection, holding lots of water, lots of storage (expansive), comfortable. The only small item I wish for was storage for the waistline strap (for times it’s not in use). Otherwise just what I was looking for over all.
