We have a 5 year old just getting into games, and this was an easy pick up for him after watching us play the adult version for a few years. The kids enjoy the art, so my son and his baby brother will get the pieces out just to play with them. It's a close approximation to the adult experience though, so I don't mind playing it with the kids.

My 5yr loves this! Even though it's labeled for 6+ yrs, she gets most of the concepts with a little help and loves putting her trains on the board. It's her first Ticket to Ride and unlikely to be her last!
